Maybe horse needs another Grey with him. ? How does he get on with his kennel mate.? Sounds like he was really frightened, poor boy. It took him a while to get the hang of walking back to Daybreaks LOL. Obviously takes him a while to adapt. He may be a big boy but doesn't mean he cannot be afraid. If Ruth is asking for ideas with her all her experience we all need to get our thinking caps on and try and help poor Horse.

As you know my mom, dad and sister have had the cheek to leave me and go on a cruise! Well I too am on holiday at a luxurious resort where I am waited on hand and paw, have 5 star accommodation and free access to all exercise classes. Auntie Klaire has been to visit me with Florence and uncle Trevor (TC) and is coming again in the next couple of days. Who needs a choppy sea! Lubs Barney. Xxx

This boy is fabulous, he's a fun loving affectionate lad just happy to have company. He has a cheeky playful side too but he's also well mannered. Sully is just a super super hound just waiting for his chance. Please someone give this lad a home, I'm sure you won't regret it. The only thing that shocks me about him is that he's still waiting! I love everything about him xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
What a crackers day!!!! That will teach me to have a few days off!!! I took Kenny off to the vets first thing for his neutering only to have a call from the vets to say they couldn't operate as had a very upset tum as they sedated him and therefore had to cancel. I think the mention of him losing his baubles sent him into shock!!!! Thanks to Lisa for collecting him as we were busy with Horse going out to foster, Will being returned, Teddy the new boy arriving and Winny going out to her new home. This was whilst I dealt with George and Maggie's corns, a visit from the Council and showing round a new volunteer who is happy to help with all aspects of maintenance - yay! The sand in the run has been delivered and sorted and we will have the new fencing in place by next week! We had several donations of blankets, duvets, dog beds and a generous donation from Philip's owners who have been fundraising for us - thank you so much!

Horse went off to his foster home at lunch time but sadly he became very stressed and he is now back at the kennels! He tried to climb out of the window and would not settle and was becoming quite distressed :-(((( If anyone thinks they can help with this fella - please call us!

Thank you so much to everybody for your kind words and genuine concern, we have been really touched by every single post. We know most of you have been in similar situations, and making that awful decision to let our beloved boys and girls go is never easy, but it is the ultimate act of love we can give them. Most of you lovely people don't know us or Jack, however, you have all taken the time to let us know you care, and for that we will be eternally grateful, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Loveheart, your poem is beautiful and very true I'm sure. Our boy may be gone, but he will always be in our hearts. Xxxxxxx

Sadly Will has been returned to the Trust today. His owners do a lot of travelling which has to involve Will and this is making him very very stressed.

Dear Shani, I am so sorry to hear about Jack but I know for certain that you made the right decision for him with all the love in your heart. It is such a hard decision to make but he is free of pain now and running free with all our other precious doggies. I am sending you my love and a big hug from Carol and Moe xxxx
