Hi Mark, i have Toby who used to share his kennels with Jack and i am so very happy that he has a good home now to call his own as he is a gorgeous boy. i would have loved to have given him a home but he really took objections to our Monty dog. Rossi my other greyhound is amazing with Monty and a nightmare with any other dog so i could also benefit from more training with him. good luck with Jack the lad, glad he's settled in so well. Ina

George has been with us for 1 week now and we continue to learn from one another. He has cured my menopause insomnia. I have been getting up with my husband early when he goes out to milk the cows at just after 6am. Therfore I am ready for bed at 10pm. George gets his first walk then across the fields with the younger Jack Russell. The Young Jack Russell spends alot of time down rabbit holes. George now sticks his head down them and covers up Megs exit. I would love to let him off the lead, but know it will be some time before I can even start to trust him. He has not idea what his name is and will not come to any thing other than a piece of sausage or his lead. He already knows that the lead means a walk around the fields and he loves it. This afternoon he walked in the stream at the bottom of the meadow and his face was a real picture enjoying the cool water. He remains a real whimp with the many people who pass through the farm. I am so glad that the fencing gives us the reasurance that he is safe . I also had to go to the potato shed as I had none in the house, this is another place he obviously enjoyed, the smells were a real treat. He shows no fear of the cows which is a bonus. We need to return to Daybreaks tommorrow as he is still not micro chipped. It will be interesting to see his response to the kennels.

Hi Mark, it is great to hear Jack has settled so well. Being the longest stayer at the kennels we were so happy for you to home him. How about coming along to the training class - Julie will certainly help you with regards to calming him on his walks. Well done to you for giving him a chance as he is such a lovely boy. I miss my early morning cuddles with him!

Just to let you all know how Tommy is getting on. He came home with us on Sunday and it is as if he has been here for years. He has shown no signs of upset and has not been fased by anything that goes on in the house. He is a real sweety and everyone that has met him has fallen in love with him.Yeaterday he met our grandaughter who is 2 and a bit. She thinks he is lovely , he has been so gentle with her we can't believe that he has not been in a home environment before. He loves his walks and has met lots of new dogs which he has taken to straight away. will keep you updated and will send photos soon.
