Chris
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Sadly we lost our Chris on 20-03-2023. Only just felt able to post. He was such a sweet, loving, cheeky boy who was loved by us all. We all miss him so much and still shed tears for him. Our other greyhound Gabi is grieving her bestie also. Sleep tight my sweet boy. Find Kim & Cracker you will always be remembered

Day 4 in foster. Posted on behalf of his foster family: Another good day . He is very very playful. He has discovered that wet washing, notebooks, blankets, etc. He is still very young & playful & stiill in the chewing stage. Came when name called we jhave started to leave him on his own for very short periods & we will build this up gradually He is an absolute lovely bundle of energy a really great dog. Maggie & Paul

What a total delight Lovely Larky is. She is only 2 but is such a laid back girl. She doesn't seem to be bothered by anything. She walks beautifully on a loose lead. No reaction to the Coventry road traffic. Enjoys cuddles and is very pretty. I do hope she finds a loving home soon. Massive cuddles tonight xxxx

Peggy today paid her first visit to Elmdon Park She was slightly unsettled travelling to the park but much more relaxed coming back. This possibly suggests she's a girl who needs time to get used to life in the outside world. She was slightly unsure of things when meeting the other breeds not in any aggressive way at all but slightly backing away from them. Hopefully as with travelling in the car she will adapt to life in the park the more she gets out and about.

Our "Maddie the Baddie" is 9 today Love you baby girl ! still as mad as a box of frogs, still rules the household wouldn,t have her any other way chicken for breakfast and celebration tea later xxxx

I took Hilda in for her spey at Fivelands this morning. She has just come back and is bright. She is a lovely girl with a spinning tail when she is happy.

Hilda came with me to Brueton Park today. She's a real sweetie, who cannot get enough love and fuss. She was excited to go out, but allowed herself to be leaded up. She jumped in the car with little encouragement and after a few minutes settled well. Once in the park Hilda was perfect with all other breeds. She met a few small, fluffy dogs and said hello politely. We walked through the park to Solihull town centre and she came in a couple of shops with me. Hilda coped admirably with these new experiences. She happily accepted fuss and complements from strangers. She was a great ambassador for the breed and in true lazy greyhound style, when we got back to the car she looked at the open boot, then back to me with an expression that said she had expended plenty of energy already and the only way to get her in the car was by picking her up!! She is a very happy little soul with lots of love and kisses to give out. Here's hoping she's on her forever sofa soon xx

So very sad for little Truf, she was quite stressed on her return to the kennels today. I think she found the outside world a little overwhelming. We are very sorry also for the lady and her family who took her home, just not meant to be this time. Xx Truf is a real sweetheart. Xxx

Rocky

We took Rocky to meet Erik today and followed by a lovely surprise treat for Rocky... The sand run! Erik gave us some really great advice to work with Rocky; helping reassure Rocky not to feel worried or threatened when someone/things comes toward him. Rocky has never shown aggression or barked with us, he just grumbles if he is unsure. We have strategies which we are going to practice lots! Horay...Lots of treats boy!!! So great to then see this gorgeous boy running free on the sand run. They are such magical stunning animals x A great day for a great big pup, thanks Daybreaks for all you do xxx
