Larky had a beautiful hand made card with gravy bones in made by Shirley (the card that is not the gravy bones)!!! She had lots of visitors and really enjoyed the attention. X

As Michael was under the weather today, the Minnie Moose accompanied me to the kennels this morning and she had a lovely time. She has a soft spot for Magic and delights in giving him kisses through the bars of the run! Her favourite Aunty Kate very kindly clipped her nails, and she waited so quietly and patiently whilst I did my work - my little treasure.xx Thank goodness the weather forecast for tomorrow is much improved, we may even see the sun! Hope to see you at our Easter Open Day, there are stalls to browse, games for your hounds and a raffle with great prizes on offer. Parking at Birmingham Exiles RFC on the grassed area to the left of the entrance gate as there are matches on and the car park may be full. Angie x

I've got to put this out there... just been out for a walk with Penny and its been the best one yet!! She has always been good on lead and walks anyway but today she saw a puppy husky, no older than 5 months old, she didn't want to run after it just high ears and tail going like the clappers standing still. Then when we almost got home saw a bunch of small children with their dad's running, she wanted to run towards them but stopped herself. When we met up with them she was all of the children and so happy about it and very well behaved showing her love. This was her first real time around a larger group of young children. We are so proud of her.

Today is Caesar’s birthday. Is it not amazing, two years ago the vets gave him 6-9 months to live. Today he is 4 years old and still going strong. Someone had said to me, he is having too much fun to die. They are right and keeping us on our toes. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAESAR!!!.

Daybreaks Diary!

What a miserable wet day, I'm sure it got colder this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who came in and helped, the dogs had morning walks and time in the feeding runs this afternoon. Matthew took charge of teeth cleaning and grooming. Selina, now Phoebe went off to her new home, wishing her and her family lots of happy times together. Sparky was quite bright today after his dental yesterday, certainly hasn't affected his appetite!!! Just a quick reminder, this Sunday is our Easter Open Day, there will be stalls, refreshments and entertainment for the houndies. Laura will be on hand to offer mini pampers and nail clipping. Please come along and support the kennels if you can make it. Parking is at Birmingham Exiles Rugby Club. Parking is on the grass area near the entrance.
