I met Sparky today and he is a lovely lad. A bit stressed in kennels at the moment, I do hope his forever home comes soon. He will be well looked after at Daybreaks though. Keeping fingers crossed his stay will be a short one xx

Asbo Arry really enjoyed his Valentine's pamper today. He actually jumped into the bath and stood there beautifully, his back legs had a bit of a wobble but this can be caused the warm water relaxing the muscles. Once done he was equally happy to jump back out. He was a good boy with the drier, ear cleaning, nail clipping and teeth scraping, although when Laura finished scraping then used the plaque wipes and finally used the plaque gel he decided to do dog down and dropped to the floor, absolutely nothing wrong just decided it was time to lie down!!!! Nothing like scaring someone. Did wonder that as he was so very good we call him Asbo? Think that just summed it up. He also received his lovely valentine's goody tin with various lovely goodies in....well worth it I say. Thanks Laura, hope he didn't give you too much of a scare!!!!!

Seana, I am so very sorry and heartbroken, I would dearly loved to see Teddy's gorgeous face one last time. He achieved a great age, I know it's no concellation but you gave him a wonderful life. What a good boy Fergal was to cuddle up and make him feel safe, warm and loved. We are thinking of you at this very difficult and sad time. Much love, Jo, Arry, Cooper and Peanut. Rest easy Teddy and watch down on us all. Xxx

For my wonderful Step Uncle Teddy If I could use my million tears to build a staircase I would build one right up to heaven and bring you back again together with my Daddy and Brother. You have been the best pal and I am glad I got to snuggle up to you today whilst you slipped away. I hope you know how much I loved you. I did try to show you by snuggling up to you as much as I could and always letting you have the treaties first! I will try to be a good boy for Granny but I honestly don't know how I will fare without you. It has been so very hard without Daddy and then Eoghan and now you have gone my life will never be the same. I hope you will wait patiently for me and Granny but until then be healthy, be happy and please remember to look down on us every day before you go and play. lots of snuggles and sniffs. Fergal xxx

R.I.P. My Beautiful Teddybear - 28.8.2009 - 15.2.23 My darling Teddy, My heart is truly broken. Having barely accepted losing Eoghan a few months ago I really believed we would see your 14th this year but life is so cruel and your aggressive cancer diagnosis just before Christmas had other plans. You have fought so valiantly these past 8 weeks and it has been a true honour to be your Mum these past 5 1/4 years. You have been just the sweetest son one could wish for. You were so kind and respectful to Daddy Melly, then welcoming Fergal and Eoghan into our home and so I couldn't be more proud. The DB team welcomed you as part of the family always and I know in particular Auntie Kate and Auntie Jo will be sad not to see your lovely face again. I know Auntie Kate was grateful to be able to say goodbye to you and that Auntie Jo should have been able to today but obviously we didn't make it into DB. I am hurting too much to put the right words together and so here is a beautiful poem from Auntie JetLucy just for you. It's my first day in heaven, and what a beautiful place, you'll be glad to know there's a smile upon my face. The moment I left you, two angels in white, carried me up here to heaven that night. All those stories you hear about Rainbow Bridge are true but you don't walk over it because the angels carried me through. There's a gate at the end made of pearl and it has got to be the biggest gate in the world. Once I got in and started looking around, you just won't believe all the things that I found. The first place they took me had to be the most fun, a humongous field with miles to run. Once I was tired the angels then said we will take you to your home but first we need to stop by this place full of tasty bones. They told me to take one with me but one is all I need because every good thing lasts forever up in heaven you see. They took me to my new house, it took my breath away, the most beautiful place I have ever seen and with a huge yard to play. They said come on, let's go inside and have a look around. They took me to the bottom floor and you won't believe what I found. The bottom of my house has a window and you won't believe the view for my house sits right over yours so I can still keep an eye on you. I was so worried about you when I went away but now I can watch you every second of the day, when we can walk around this place and I can cover you with puppy kisses on every inch of your face. Until we meet again. Teddy my sweet boy, remember all that Mummy told you and make sure you find your way to Daddy Melly and Eoghan. Play amongst the fields of gold and green and enjoy the sun filled blue sky. Try to find my other sons so that they may not be alone. Wait patiently for me and for Fergal as we have to stay here for a while longer but please god in the not so distant years Fergal and I will join you all and we will be a family again. With all the love my heart can send. Mummy xxx

It’s been a while since I’ve updated you all. My bad! I had a greyt Christmas I received so many new toys and treats it was fantastic. This advent calendar was lovely. Why haven’t the hoomans kept that going? I even tried to eat the small animals ones. Speaking of small animals we have a new addition to the family. I can smell them but can’t get them? I’m not allowed in the room. I wonder why? I only want to say hello… or have a feast. Maybe. But I won’t tell them that. I’ve always liked rabbit ears. Not fair! I’ve recently completed my first 4 weeks of the insight hounds training. I got a certificate and a goodie bag! Look at me go. I loved it and wanted to go all the time. Not sure why I had to go though but not complaining I got free food and lots of it! Sister hooman just got a new job. Everyone there loves greyhounds apparently but I refuse, let me say that again, REFUSE to go with her. No way am I stepping into the vets. She says they just want to meet me but I do not trust those horrid people… I’ve also decided to claim the living room chair. If anyone gets on I’ll kick you off. Even visitors. Lubs Monty xx

So surprised to see you rehomed wow fastest rehoming as I left the kennels around 5 yesterday. I do hope this time it will be your forever home and really hope it works out for you. Sorry didn't get chance to kiss you goodbye Rivs. Love you lots. Be happy your foster mom. Xxxx

Yesterday Steve spent the day in the office as he just isn’t happy in kennels. He was PERFECTLY behaved and when Izzy arrived who belongs to volunteer Alison they curled up together whilst I signed up the gorgeous Bobbie who has been out on trial to her new owner. Catherine brought Pod so we could do some small dog socialising… Steve, River, Truf Truf, Magic and Stacey were absolutely fantastic however in the naughty corner remains Rocky and Robbie… so we stepping up our training with them. Mollie did paperwork whilst I actually got to go out on an afternoon walk with Carol and Alison. I took double trouble boys Rocky and Robbie who met 2 small dogs at the end of our drive….

The paperwork was signed for the gorgeous Bobbie who has been put on trial and River was reserved and is off to his new home tomorrow. Cath with Pod came to bring Jens homing paperwork and Truf Truf, Magic and Stacy all were fantastic…. But Robbie and Rocky…, they definitely need confident owners.
