Rocky

Rocky has been drinking and weeing a lot since arriving at Daybreaks. When he was neutered, they did blood tests which showed he had a problem with his kidneys. He was therefore admitted to Fivelands Moseley for a kidney scan and cystocentesis and we will await the results. He is now patchwork from where he was shaved bless him.

Lucky

I had the pleasure of taking Lucky to Elmdon Park today and a pleasure really is the word to sum her up in all ways. She reacts well with other breeds of all shapes and sizes and loves human affection. She travelled well in the car and is sensible on the lead. She really was perfect in every way and I'm sure she is going to be a perfect companion for whoever gives her the forever home she deserves

Daybreaks Diary!

We have been given the opportunity to stage 2 awareness roadshows at the Morrisons supermarket in Solihull Town Centre next Summer - Sat 10th & Sun 11th June 2023 (it might seem a long way off now, but with the way time is flying by at the moment it will be here before you know it!!!). Whilst we have a list of volunteers & hounds willing to attend (keep an eye on your email inboxes folks, will be contacting you soon!) newcomers are always welcome - and we really need people willing to act as a "Mr Shifter" - collecting and assembling the gazebo, then dismantling and returning to the kennels after the event. If you think this is something you could help us out with, please let me know, or give us a call at the kennels - the Daybreaks Trust van would be available to move everything to and from the kennels. Many thanks Angie x

Lucky is such a fun girl! I took her into the sand run and she absolutely loved zoomies! She comes straight to you when called and is such a happy loving girl. Again, another that is a bit stressed in her kennel but we give her as much TLC as we can when we are here.

What an absolutely horrible morning it was. The weather forecast was horrendous, but thankfully it dried up and the inmates all had morning and afternoon walks. Thanks to everyone for their help today, at one point we thought we would have to occupy the kids with some games and touch training as the forecast was so bad. We were a couple of volunteers short, hoping that they will feel better soon. Not surprisingly it was very quiet for visitors, we had some bedding donated, thanks very much. Hoping for some better weather and some more viewings. All of our inmates are absolutely gorgeous. Please give the Kennels a call if you are interested in giving one of them a home. X
