Rigsby is 13 today! I’ve been looking at his photos from his time in the kennels and he looks so different now with his grey face…but still very handsome and distinguished! He is growing more and more loving with age and we love him hugely xxx

Duque is a happy boy. He loves playing with a tennis ball. He finds life outside the kennel very interesting and can be strong on the lead. Loads of personality. Absolutely enjoys his interaction with people. Lovely boy xx

I am over the moon that Quivers today finally found her forever home. She was dropped off at our house by Rob who has been fostering her for many months. She got on well with her new greyhound sister and also met the baby and I think we reacted more when baby started crying! I am so grateful to Rob who owns Rory for looking after her and Andy who owns Fred and Deb who owns Peg who also opened their homes for her and fostered her. She originally arrived at Daybreaks November 2021 so has been waiting a long time for her forever home. X

Mia went out on trial but she was very reactive to other breeds of dog. Sadly she was too strong for her new owners so she is back at the kennels.

Daybreaks Diary!

It was very quiet for volunteers today, many thanks to Denise for opening up, Kitty and Annabel for coming in this morning and to Alison for staying this afternoon. It was looking like the inmates would not get an afternoon walk but then Caroline arrived and soon after Kitty's Mom and Dad after she had told them how short of help we were!! Thanks so much for coming in and making sure that the dogs had afternoon walks. People's kindness always amazes me and to know that it is a pleasure and not a chore is fantastic. You are all amazing. Xx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was Gold Stars all round this morning - every kennel all lovely and clean, thankyou boys & girls it makes my life much easier!!! It was nice to see the sunshine after yesterday's miserable rain, and the residents enjoyed basking in the sun after their breakfast whilst waiting for their kennels to be cleaned. We have some lovely boys & girls just ready and waiting for their own cosy sofas - fingers crossed that we see some red signs soon. Stay safe everyone. Angie xx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Seana, Teddy and Fergal. I was so very sad to have your call on Wednesday night telling me that Eoghan was so poorly. You gave him a wonderful home for his remaining life with you, this you need to keep close to your heart. Reunited with Daddy Melly and Alan who looked after him until Alan was too unwell. Eoghan, run fast and free at Rainbow bridge, meet up with all our beloved hounds who passed before. Say hello to Gummers and Sarah Scare bear and let them know that Peanut is keeping the other dogs in their place. Xx
