Today Sammy met up with his sister at Daybreaks little Cassie (Sioux Rising)and it was instant smiles all round and wagging tails. We could instantly see they were siblings as they were both the same size and with only tiny differences to tell them apart, Cassie has slightly darker eyes and no white on her paws. Both brother and sister are very friendly and affectionate. It was very heart warming to see them together xx

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Ickle Pickle Princess Peanut Paws, happy birthday to you. My little Pea is 2 years old today, a little angel and a little devil rolled into one. For those who look to see what the special dinner will be, it's fish cakes, mashed potato, vegetables and homemade parsley sauce. You are a little monster but we love you. Xxx

Cooper came to the Kennels today to visit the Pet Blood Bank. Sadly it was a no, he was instantly freaked out by the mobile donation unit. We got as far as weighing him, Kate and I then weighed him on the kennel scales, this confirmed that he is a 42 kilogram big girl's blouse!!! Ruth cut his nails which again didn't go down well with him, poor Alan and Ray had to pick him up so she could do them, Alan very quickly confirmed that Coop is 42 kilos!!! Thanks guys. X

Daybreaks Diary!

Wow what a busy day! We had the blood bank visit today and brave boys Mikey, Zavi and Tommy all gave blood. My brave boy Tony gave for the first time and I am so proud of him. We did some socialising with Betty, Becky and Molly with visiting little dog 'Pod' - unfortunately Betty was not on her best behaviour so really will need a very experienced new owner. Monty came along for a well care pamper - it is great to see how well he is doing. Alan bought chocolate donuts so we were all happy!

Hello All, Emily has been with us for nearly a month now and so far has been settling in very well. She's get's along great with her big brother Peppie, although she is a bit bossy towards him at times. Emily loves going out for walks and has been to lots of places including Sutton Park, Shugborough Hall and Walsall Arboretum. She loves food and treats and is just a gorgeous, fussy little Racoon faced treasure! We feel really lucky to have been able to re-home her and look forward to continuing to look after her.

Belle

Today Google popped up with a photo of a big brindle girl lying under the acer tree in our garden. This reminded me that two years ago Belle became part of our family and she hasn't looked back. We all love this big cuddle monster and we are so proud of her achievements too. She passed bronze and silver good dog citizen training thanks to Julie and we are working towards the ultimate gold standard too. On top of this she is a regular blood doner and she will be doing her bit again tomorrow, all the PBB staff love her and say she is a model patient. Here's to many more years of fun and frolics dear Belle, hope you enjoyed your special roast chicken dinner, it was soon eaten. I know she will be delighted to see her friend volunteer walker Jo tomorrow at Daybreaks. Love and lots of hugs to our special girl xx

Daybreaks Diary!

What a great day! We saw the gorgeous Cassie (now called Coco) officially adopted after being out on trial. Whilst this was happening, our new arrival Becky turned up..... and before we knew it, she was reserved! We had a team in from Virgin Media yesterday who spent a whole day in the sand run. They have made it safe enough for the Trust dogs to use but until essential maintenance is carried out, unfortunately the sand run is not open for visitors. Mikey and Zavi had a fantastic time running around and playing.... such great fun to see. I will put a video on to Facebook later of their antics!

Good luck to Bocko and his new family. It would have been lovely to see him and Prince homed together, but it was not to be. On the upside it seems that they are only a street or two away from each other so will be able to meet up occasionally and stay in touch with each other, how nice for them. Xx
