As I was driving to kennels today for the Pet Blood Bank the rain was pouring and it was pretty soggy at kennels. Nadie had her 5th visit and made her 4th donation. After she went in to the mobile unit I kept looking at the clock thinking that the longer she was in the more likely she was to be donating. I'm so very proud of her. I know she's ok with it because the team don't allow any donation to go ahead unless the dog is totally happy. Nadie loved her new toy and shared her treats with her brothers. She got a lovely lead and a badge for her bandana. Well done my darling girl x

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Zavi donated to the Pet Blood Bank this afternoon. The Nurses loved him despite him managing to knock all the treats onto the floor and counter surfing sending things flying everywhere! He was a good boy and did lie still long enough for his donation to be taken. Bless him, well done Zavi! :)) Xxx

Today Sammy met up with his sister at Daybreaks little Cassie (Sioux Rising)and it was instant smiles all round and wagging tails. We could instantly see they were siblings as they were both the same size and with only tiny differences to tell them apart, Cassie has slightly darker eyes and no white on her paws. Both brother and sister are very friendly and affectionate. It was very heart warming to see them together xx

My little Pea is 2 years old today, a little angel and a little devil rolled into one. Cooper came to the Kennels today to visit the Pet Blood Bank. Sadly it was a no, he was instantly freaked out by the mobile donation unit. We got as far as weighing him, Kate and I then weighed him on the kennel scales, this confirmed that he is a 42 kilogram big girl's blouse!!! Ruth cut his nails which again didn't go down well with him, poor Alan and Ray had to pick him up so she could do them, Alan very quickly confirmed that Coop is 42 kilos!!! Thanks guys. X

Daybreaks Diary!

Wow what a busy day! We had the blood bank visit today and brave boys Mikey, Zavi and Tommy all gave blood. My brave boy Tony gave for the first time and I am so proud of him. We did some socialising with Betty, Becky and Molly with visiting little dog 'Pod' - unfortunately Betty was not on her best behaviour so really will need a very experienced new owner. Monty came along for a well care pamper - it is great to see how well he is doing. Alan bought chocolate donuts so we were all happy!

Emily (Cristina)

Hello All, Emily has been with us for nearly a month now and so far has been settling in very well. She's get's along great with her big brother Peppie, although she is a bit bossy towards him at times. Emily loves going out for walks and has been to lots of places including Sutton Park, Shugborough Hall and Walsall Arboretum. She loves food and treats and is just a gorgeous, fussy little Racoon faced treasure! We feel really lucky to have been able to re-home her and look forward to continuing to look after her.
