Because it's been so hot the fabulous Daisydog and I have been watching the tennis and catching up on YouTube videos of pottery (that's for me!) and checking out greyhound ones for dd. There are lovely videos of Doodad - please have a look at this wonderful girl - with almost as many outfits as Daisy and such a wonderful smile! Xx

Bless her - she is definitely completely freaked out by traffic. I tried to walk her on Wednesday but we only got to the end of the drive before she became completely terrified. She managed a little walk down the lane in the end. She's a lovely girl and hopefully will soon learn to be more relaxed. Xx

Beautiful Tango came home with me last night and I took her to Fivelands vets this morning for her spey. She is now settled on her duvet in our hallway where she prefers to lay. She was golden last night but on her short walk this morning she is absolutely terrified of traffic 🙁 We have got some training to do!

Well as I have said before never a dull moment with these hounds, Usually it's Jed who's notorious for being accident prone but this time it's Lottie who was so intent on watching the signets that she walked straight into one of our traffics signs!! No injuries to report only a little hurt pride!

Its almost 6 months since our Gotcha day, and Rocky just gets more fabulous. I have read everything by Jan Fennell and Tony Knight and had Dianne round for a day and its helped loads, though I am not a natural pack leader. & Rocky could do with Tony writing a book for dogs about living with a menopausal mum. It was his birthday recently and we have been to the beach for the day - well so many highlights and lovely days out and walks together. He loves to snuggle up on the sofa and always greets everyone with a waggy tail. I now know almost all my neighbours as he makes friends everywhere we go. & he loves going to my moms flat at the home she lives in and going in the lift, probably because he associates it with the sausages she does for him ! I wasn't sure enough to take him away for the weekend when I went to Northumberland so he stayed with Martin and Mary and his greyhound friends. But we have now booked our first beach holiday in September together. I now tell all my friends that if they want a man that will love you, & always be glad to see you, and protect you (at least from squirrels and rabbits), they simply need a greyhound boy.

Hooray. First walk she has come back from since saturday and not hidden behind the sofa. Was pushing her a bit too fast so am now taking it nice and slowly. She is slowly improving with the Buses but we have had a few bad experiences with scary bangy hissey lorries which she took very much to heart. Eating much better now. Cleared her bowl & is now sleeping it off. Left her for a bit yesterday unmuzzled am going to try again a bit longer tomorrow & over weekend xx
