Our lovely Socki was reserved today. :)) She had a very handsome Greyhound lad come to meet her. He was also introduced to Zavi who was very excited to meet him! Zavi was very happy but was a litttle too exuberant for the lad and he chose Socki to be his new friend. I am sure Zavi will soon find his forever home too. Xxx When Cristina went out on her morning walk she found something very interesting...fox poo! She managed to plaster her muzzle, collar and tracker with it! Yuk....Yvonne and I gave her a good wash down when she got back to the kennels. :)) Xxx Norman took Tilly for a visit to the park. :)) She really enjoyed herself. She is such a lovely girl. Xxx Many thanks to Shirley and Richard for collecting some donations from Pets at Home this morning and to everyone who helped out today. Xxx

So very happy for Socki. Hoping Douglas (Dougie) will be OK without her when she goes home. They have become a great double act as Rubytwoshoes says. Xx

Tilly
I’m Homed
Lovely Tilly paid her first visit to Elmdon Park today and behaved impeccably. She is relaxed on the lead and has no problems with meeting other dogs. As previous comments have said she has a very distinctive look with her Roman nose and white colouring but is a typical greyhound with her loving nature and personality

Minnie
I’m Homed
So today was Minnie's 4 week gotcha day & we went to the kennels for her post adoption check and sand run session. Safe to say she had a blast in the sand run, until the rain came! She has put on weight, and is at her optimal weight now so its a balance to maintain this whilst she is doing reward based training - and she does love her rewards! A day out of routine and full of so many new experiences, she was happy to get back home but is now thoroughly exhausted!! Well done on your first month Miss Moose - you've done brilliantly. xx

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
It was a busy day today. After feeding and cleaning we had two viewings and a new arrival. New arrival Tilly arrived early afternoon, she is a very striking white girl with a couple of brindle patches and a wonderful roman nose. The second viewing resulted in the gorgeous Max being reserved, he will be going home with Bertie (was Joe) and little terrier Spike. He was such a good boy. Liz took Tommy on an outing to Brueton Park (or so she said), he had a good wander around Solihull and visited several shops and had a trip in a lift!!! Thanks to Liz for taking him to see the big wide world. X Handsome Roman who had been out on foster was signed up officially this afternoon, he is a very lucky boy, he has got himself a lovely family. Thanks as always to everyone for their help today, although the diary didn't look so busy it certainly was! It's now officially wine o'clock time, take care everyone and don't forget our 16th birthday party next Sunday, 11am to 2.30pm. Come along and help us celebrate.

Tilly

I met Tilly as she arrived today. She's adorable and has a Roman nose. I've never seen a greyhound with one before. She's also 99% white with the tiniest bit of brindle. She met a small dog close up today and wasn't phased at all. I don't think she'll be in kennels for long.

Teddy (Tommy)
I’m Homed
Lovely Tommy came with me to Brueton Park today. He was excited to leave his kennel and bounced out ready for his adventure. He wasn't happy to jump in the car, but he didn't mind being lifted in! Once at the park, he took in all the new sights and smells. He had the odd whine when he saw a non grey run by, but there was no lunging or other undesirable behaviour. This was the only reaction he displayed and with the vast majority of dogs, there was no reaction at all. We walked through the park into the town centre. He came in quite a few shops with me and coped admirably. He had a whole host of new experiences: travelling up in a lift; going down the stairs; going into a changing room and generally meandering around shops. He's a sweet boy and very handsome. Hoping that he doesn't have to wait long for his sofa xx
