Robin was a good girl last night she slept down stairs with her 2 Foster sisters all night she is just a sweet loving girl who loves cuddles and is a pleasure to have a round even though she not feeling well

Daybreaks Diary!

What a contrast in the weather! After a very hot and sunny day yesterday...it was cool and very wet today! Thanks so much to our walkers this morning for going out and getting wet. Xxx It was worse this afternoon. The dogs spent some time in the runs and enjoyed the company of our great Duke of Edinburgh students. Xxx Bee had some visitors this afternoon...and found herself reserved.:)) Erik and his family visited the kennels today. He brought his good naughty boys with him, including Timmy who is Bee and latest new arrival Natalie's Brother! 🙂 Sad to see Robin returned today. :(( Sometimes things just don't work out. Xxx Many thanks to Annette and her family for the very kind offer of a foster home. Xxx Hoping the weather will be dryer tomorrow as we have Sharon visiting the kennels to carry out some photoshoots. :)) There are a couple of slots still available if you are interested. Just call the kennels to book. Xxx

Very sadly Robin has been returned this morning. The two dogs attacked each other, Robin coming of worse. Her owner is heartbroken at returning her. Robin has gone straight out to foster so she can have care of her wounds until she has healed.

Daybreaks Diary!

Two words describe today - hot, and hot!!! Unsurprisingly it was extremely quiet, and even too hot for the boys and girls to spend time out in the feeding runs. The shape of the kennels makes the runs a sun trap and it was just so very hot, the doggies came out for wees then took refuge on the cool tile floors of their kennels. Typical of the British weather the forecast for the weekend is awful - but at least we will be cooler! Don’t forget raffle tickets for the 16th Birthday Grand draw are on sale, as are tickets for the amazing garden chair - give us a call to take part and be in with a chance for some great prizes, whilst helping our lovely boys and girls. Another weekend is upon us so join me in raising a glass of chilled white wine to our current residents and foster doggies and wish for their forever homes to come along very soon. Poor little Socki has a sore hock at the moment...she wasn't able to join the others for a walk this morning. She is sharing the kitchen run and kennel with Dougie who is also recovering from his recent toe injury. They do make a lovley couple! Do hope they will soon find their forever homes. Xxx

Sadly Bee has been returned this morning. Since homing, the child of the family who is 4 years old who was originally involved with the choosing of Bee has since built up a psychological fear of not only her but now all dogs. Despite all attempts to resolve this, it was decided the best thing was to return her. Bee is great around children, good on the lead, good with other breeds, toilet trained, can be left for up to 6 hours. She is very loving and is clearly distressed at being back at the kennels. She is excited by cats who used to sit on the shed roof in the garden!
