Happy heavenly birthday my darling, darling boy. I prayed so hard that you'd get to see this day and have your birthday cake and presents as you always did. I hope you're happy and running fast and free over rainbow bridge but know that I did everything in my power to save you and would have continued to do so if you could have carried on. As the saying goes, 'if love alone could have saved you, you'd have lived forever'. I miss you every day and there's such a void in my life now you've left, but mia and I talk about you all the time to keep your memory alive as worried mia won't remember you, but even at her young age she still says 'I love jet' so hoping she'll never forget. Its ironic that your passing was because your heart was too big and that was you all over, the biggest, sweetest, kind, most gentle heart I have ever known. We welcomed baby isla safely into the world in April and I know you sent her to help us through and when she's big enough we'll tell her all about her big brother who would have adored her. Looked at our photos of this time last year and we were on the beach in Weymouth for your birthday and even though you were really quite poorly then, you still ran round that beach with a spring in your step like the happy boy you were, living your life to the full. I hope you've had a lovely day and grandad has taken you to the pub for your scratchings! Love you with all my heart, my world, best friend and soulmate. Lots of love mommy xxxxxx

Caesar

Time for some good news Caesar is doing so very well. He has now beat ALL the prognosis he was given for the mast cell cancer he has. He is looking even more stunning compared to when he first came to stay. You simply could not see he has cancer. To celebrate this I will start a FB fundraiser later this evening. With young Timmy around he seemed to have matured a bit and is less reactive to other dog breeds. This is also allowing me to do more rigorous training as he is less focussed on other dogs. He enjoys the occasional play with the young boy. It is so pleasing to see Caesar grow into this beautifull and graceful boy. Luckily or unluckily for use, he has not lost his naughty nature and together with Barney they keep being the two good naughty boys.

Dougie loves playing with toys especially with balls. He is a real character. Today he managed to 'steal' a handbag that he been left on the bench outside the kennel he was playing in. Completely innocent face of course. Gorgeous gorgeous boy. Xxxx

Daybreaks Diary!

What a horrible day it was, despite the weather the inmates that could go on a walk had both morning and afternoon walks. Thanks so very much to my intrepid volunteers. Dougie and Georgie are sadly on no walks at the moment, each enjoyed spending time in the feeding runs with toys. Dougie managed to dead a toy and looked so very pleased with himself!!! Thanks to everyone for their help today, it is always very appreciated.

This Burnham on sea is not a bad place you know. I can now tell when we are going to the caravan, I get so excited. I’ve learnt quite a few words actually. ‘Walkies’, ‘Din Dins’ and Caravan. If these are said I get excited. We went into town today to see the display of vintage cars. I wasn’t interested in them. Instead I lead the hoomans to the pet shop. It’s great in there!! I took two yummy duck treats off the shelf and ate them! Daddy didn’t look too pleased. He said to me he had to pay for them! Oops! Then the nice lady at the counter gave me a couple more. I love that place. Then later I found a bit of left over pizza. I ate that too of course. The hooman went into a shop and came out with a toy bunny for her new pet coming soon. I tried to steal that but I was dragged away! Was very upset! Lubs Monty Xx
