Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. I am very pleased to say Annie one of my college placement students asked if she could continue at the Kennels as a volunteer. I was delighted to say yes, she was so very quiet and reserved when she started and has gained so much confidence that the change is amazing. We saw the arrival of Socki today, she is lovely, her trainer said she is not keen on travelling in the car, she was understandably a little unsettled by her new environment but hopefully will settle soon.

Yesterday was a bit of whirlwind busy one for us too. After hearing Norman's report on his trip to the park, we rushed over to Daybreaks with Belle to meet Del Boy and it was love at first sight. He has the same happy grin that reminded me of my dear Paddy. I then spoke to his trainer after reading her lovely letter which came with him and in no time realized he was just the one for me and Belle agreed. He will have a lovely big bed to relax on all ready and waiting, just a few minor things to sort out then forever home xx

Quick work Del Boy! He has found himself a wonderful home! He had a very busy day today. This morning Norman took him for a trip to the park. He had a lovely time. :)) When he came back he was introduced to Cath's super little Pod for some small dog testing...he was great, very happy to meet her. Xxx This afternoon he had a very important meeting and found himself Reserved! :)) Such a happy, friendly lad. So pleased for him. Xxx

Happy heavenly birthday my darling, darling boy. I prayed so hard that you'd get to see this day and have your birthday cake and presents as you always did. I hope you're happy and running fast and free over rainbow bridge but know that I did everything in my power to save you and would have continued to do so if you could have carried on. As the saying goes, 'if love alone could have saved you, you'd have lived forever'. I miss you every day and there's such a void in my life now you've left, but mia and I talk about you all the time to keep your memory alive as worried mia won't remember you, but even at her young age she still says 'I love jet' so hoping she'll never forget. Its ironic that your passing was because your heart was too big and that was you all over, the biggest, sweetest, kind, most gentle heart I have ever known. We welcomed baby isla safely into the world in April and I know you sent her to help us through and when she's big enough we'll tell her all about her big brother who would have adored her. Looked at our photos of this time last year and we were on the beach in Weymouth for your birthday and even though you were really quite poorly then, you still ran round that beach with a spring in your step like the happy boy you were, living your life to the full. I hope you've had a lovely day and grandad has taken you to the pub for your scratchings! Love you with all my heart, my world, best friend and soulmate. Lots of love mommy xxxxxx
