Over the Rainbow Bridge
Josh is so friendly and loving, all he wants is lots of love and he is getting used to having long walks in the morning with his Foster sisters. He has been for a ride in the car today to the park, he travelled well and he walks lovely on the lead he is just so good.

Daybreaks Diary!

A lovely warm day, it makes everyone feel so much better. We were a little short of volunteers this morning as there was a Daybreaks Trustee meeting. All inmates were fed, Kennels cleaned a d settled before some members of the team went to the meeting. As were short of help we had a conveyor line in place...all dogs firstly had their teeth cleaned before moving on to the grooming area!!!! This afternoon we faired better and with more help all dogs that could have a walk did in the lovely sunshine. Many thanks to Liz for taking Buddy to the park, to Netty70 for taking Josh out on foster and to Lucy's foster family for officially adopting her today. We also saw gorgeous Marina reserved, her family have a small dog and she was the one who seemed to get on with the little dog, they have had greyhounds before and I feel that Mabel little dog chose Marina. The Beagle party took over the sand run for an hour this morning, they are a regular Sunday morning booking now, it is surreal seeing them all running around, I'm sure there are not hundreds but when you see them on the cameras it's just a blur. Angie popped in before the meeting and spent some time with Minnie, I took Cooper and Peanut with me today, Cooper and Minnie are full brother and sister but Minnie was not impressed to begin with, she mellowed as the day went on!! Siblings eh? Thanks to everyone for their help today, as always very much appreciated.

Josh has settled in well at the moment he has been for a walk with my other two dogs and he has also been in the garden with them and yes he can do stairs but a little bit unsure to come back down on his own but if he has got someone with him he is fine

Buddy

Buddy came with me to Elmdon Park today. He stood very calmly to be leaded up and we set off at a leisurely pace. Once in the park we met quite a few other breeds. He was happy to say hello to medium and large dogs or even just walk by without greeting them. He was quite confused by the first very small dog that we saw, but by the end of the walk he had relaxed with smaller breeds as well. He is a very handsome chap and on the smaller side for a boy. He was a pleasure to take out. Here's hoping he doesn't have to wait too long for his sofa xx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was a quiet day for a Saturday today. Angie and Michael did a great job as usual, cleaning and feeding all the dogs before the rest of us arrived. :)) Thanks to all of our young Duke of Edinburgh volunteers for taking everyone out for a walk except for lovely Georgie who is resting after hurting her leg. She is still a very happy, tail wagging girl! :)) Xxx Thanks to Jess for her help too. Xxx We had visits from recently homed Toby, Alex and Florence. Great to see them all. :)) This afternoon it was even quieter but I had plenty of "Help" from my own Skip and Lyra. When I was cleaning the runs Skip came out of the kitchen and promptly did a wee in the run I had just cleaned. :)) They were both a big help when I was trying to put a cover on a duvet...I had put it on the floor ready for the cover when I had a phone call. When I came back they were both stretched out on the duvet! They could have put the cover on first! :))) Bless them, they did make me laugh! Xxx Xxx
