Met the adorable Josh when we came up to the kennels today even my grumpy Maddie liked him he has a lovely temprament surely his sofa can,t be far away

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Another very quiet day, with only a couple of sand run visits and a kind donation of duvets and bedding. After a grey start, and the rain not making up its mind if it wanted to fall or not, it turned into a beautiful afternoon so as well as enjoying 2 walks the boys & girls spent some time lounging in the feeding runs enjoying the sun and playing with toys. Dougie had us in stitches, he was in the run containing the 3 toy boxes and very diligently took each toy out, had a quick play, left it on the floor and kept going back until the boxes were emptied and the run floor was carpeted with toys!! This boy does enjoy a play bless him. Cristina also loves toys, but is very good at "dedding" them unfortunately and a few have been consigned to the dustbin tonight!! Yesterdays newcomers Buddy & Marina are still getting used to their surroundings. Buddy is doing ok, but Marina is sadly quite stressed and has a habit of "paddling" in her water bowl with her front paws, throwing all the water over herself and the floor - then lying down in the resulting puddle! She has a good appetite though, and so we hope that in a few days she will be used to her new home and routine and start to relax. I am over the moon that our Jubilee Afternoon Tea next Saturday has sold out. We have had our final rehearsal for the floorshow which is looking great, so we're all systems go for a lovely afternoon. Thanks everyone who has bought tickets - hope you have a good time. Well the weekend is here again, and its a fairly busy diary so I will finish with my usual wish for forever homes for our residents, and raise a glass or 2 of chilled white wine a bit later to toast this. Marina arrived today, she is a very pretty girl. 🙂 She is a little overwhelmed by everything at the moment. Her Trainer says she has been with them for most of her life, so it must be quite daunting to find herself in new surroundings. Hopefully she will soon settle and enjoy her stay at the kennels until her forever home comes along. Xxx

Chloe was neutered last week so has not been able to join her fellow Daybreaks residents for walks. She has been such a good girl and has been able to sit outside in one of the runs enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather. She had one short walk today and will able to resume full walkies from Thursday. :)) Xxx
