Another busy day! Thanks to everyone for their help today and to Dave who had a day off work and came to the kennels. Thanks Dave for fitting the new hose that was very kindly donated, we now have one that works properly! We had three lovely new arrivals, Barney, Dougie and Cristina. They all had their health checks and baths and all enjoyed their dinner. All dogs are now all tucked up in their beds. It has been a little on the chilly side today but at least it was dry and bright. As always, take care everyone.

I saw this sweet thing today when I was there waiting for my Foster dog Robin's new family to come she came up to the bars and she had a love off me she is so sweet

A big cuddle for Robin tonight! It was great to see her go off to her new home this afternoon. Xxx We are very grateful to Annette and her family for fostering Robin while she was waiting to go to her new home. I know she found it hard to say goodbye to her today. Dinner was demolished, Peanut experienced her first special dinner, there is some left for tomorrow so she will be happy. She is such a tiny little girl and has the same amount of food as the boys but still doesn't get any bigger or put weight on!!!

I saw Andy on Sunday, thanks so very much to Steph (I find it difficult to refer to you as Witchy)!! He was so happy and waggy, he is obviously feeling so much better. So sad his viewing didn't materialise. I know if circumstances were different he would stay where he is. X

So Andy has been at home with me for a week. He is finding his feet and his cheeky, loving personality is coming out. He is definitely a foody and we are working on his manners around us and our two greys. He is enjoying playing with toys and the initial resource guarding seems to have sorted itself out. He has taught himself to do stairs as he likes to be close, so we will be looking at being a little more independent. At the moment he is sleeping next to my bed with one of our greys. He is still loving all the fuss and cuddles he can get. I think he is becoming more confident with our two. He knows exactly what a his lead is for and gets very excited, obviously he is not currently allowed on walks because his foot but hopefully next week. He has met my neighbours guide dog and did not react, neither did he react to a Jack Russell barking at him in the vets. He does seem to have a high prey drive, interested in cats and squirrels outside the window. He continues to respond well to praise. He is clean and dry in the house. Andy is totally adorable and would be amazing in his forever home

Sadly Georgie is no longer Reserved. She has been out trial for the last few weeks to see how she got along with the family cats. Unfortunately she is becoming increasingly interested and excited with them. The family who Reserved her are very sad to have to return her, they say she is a super, friendly and happy girl who is great with children. Walks lovely on the lead and is good around other dogs, large or small. They hope she will soon find her perfect home...without cats! Xxx

A day late but better late than never! Yesterday was Coopers 1st gotcha day. A little hectic so celebrations were delayed by a day. For those of you who follow the celebration dinners, tonight the furry four will be having sausage, mash, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower with gravy, all in moderation of course, not just because Coop has turned into a big hefty heffer!!!!! Happy belated gotcha day Coop, love you loads you big hairy goofball. Xxx

Lucy paid her first visit to Elmdon Park today after arriving at Daybreaks last week. As previous comments have said she is a very very pretty dark brindle but nervous girl. She showed today in the park that although she has no problems with meeting other breeds she becomes quite unsure of herself when people approach close at hand. I do hope this nervousness won't put people off from offering her a home as I'm certain there is a sweet loving girl inside her just waiting to bond with the right person or family. I'm sure she could live with other dogs.

Rosie and her Dad came for a visit to the kennels today. 🙂 She looked fantastic and was very happy! She is going on lots of adventures and long walks and throughly enjoying her new life. :)) Xxx
