Yesterday Caesar today it is Barney's birthday. What a year you had behind you. Very unhappy, very vocal and unsettled in the kennels. You came to us as a foster, but after 6 months of hard marketing, no one was interested. We have been lucky to take you in our home. You also been helping Caesar during his treatment had many adventures out and about. Helped us cope with the loss of Charlotte. You are such a character HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARNEY!!!

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Alex has been poorly since his castrate and today he was admitted to the vets to go on a drip and run blood tests. I collected him and brought him home and he has just eaten some boiled chicken and rice and made himself at home. Curled up on a pile of duvets. I love him so much x

Another precious baby has crossed the Bridge. They are lent to us and every day is precious. Richard and Shirley, I send you all my love and thank you for giving her such a wonderful retirement…. Lots of holidays and love…. Such a lucky girl. She’ll always be in your hearts xxx

I am so sad to read that yet another of our beloved hounds has gone to rainbow bridge. Its been such a sad time of late, I know only too well myself. I remember Cadbury well when he arrived at Daybreaks. He needed lots of love and understanding, a very special boy and he was very lucky to have such a loving home and family. I hope he is pain free and running round with all of our boys and girls at the bridge. Take care xx

Happy birthday gorgeous Clocky. I had the pleasure of taking you and your amazing ears on your birthday walk. I love your birthday bandana. x Clocky pulled a little bit on the lead and was keen on her surroundings but this was her first walk since arriving yesterday. She is incredibly pretty and I don't think she'll be there for long.

Rocky is such a sweetheart. I helped do his health check and bath him. He wouldn't keep still on the scales so I had to distract him from outside the treatment room. It worked. He was unsure of his bath at first but soon settled. He whimpered a bit when we left him in his kennel but after a good meal I'm sure he'll soon feel more settled. It's strange to our new residents on their first day. He's a handsome boy. Hopefully his stay won't be long.
