    I’m Homed

Billy B only arrived at Daybreaks on Friday but today paid a visit to Brueton Park. After being lifted into the car he travelled quietly with no problems. In the park he was at first curious at meeting other breeds but did not show any aggression. He does like to suddenly "plant" himself whist walking and would possibly enjoy his walks with another dog beside him

A big cuddle for Billy B tonight. He is a lovely young lad, a little unsure of his new surroundings at the moment, needs some encouragement to come out his kennel, but likes a gentle fuss. Xxx

Roy and Saddle were the perfect double act....there was no way we could have split them up. Xxx Not the easiest of boys to home, but thanks to Helen and Andy they have had a wonderful happy home together. :)) Xxx Sadly, after nearly 10 years they have had to go their separate ways, but I'm sure Roy's spirit will always be with his brother and best friend Saddle. Xxx Sending lots of love to you all. Xxx Kate, Skip, Lyra and Cracker. Xxx

Well… something happened today that rarely happens! I went for a walk with the kennel dogs! I had to photograph the moment of course which is on our facebook page. After returning we had a viewing which resulted in River being rehomed - yay! X

Delighted to offer this lovely girlie a loving home. She's gaining in confidence each day and is regularly looking to her big brother for guidance. We had a full 5 minutes, free-style, unassisted roach this afternoon - beautiful to see.

I am heartbroken to read this sad news. I think everyone that remembers Roy and Saddle from the kennels would agree that they were a perfect double act, real characters and we were so happy for them when they found their forever home with Helen and Andy. Run fast and free now fella, look down on your brother and keep him safe as he journeys onwards without you. Xxx

  • Incy

    I’m Homed

Today I took Incy to Kingsbury Water Park on our sight hound walk. He was an absolute pleasure to walk. Energetic but calm on the lead. Extremely well behave around all the greyhounds. He did ping his ears and head when he saw other and smaller breeds but wasn't reactive at all. I do hope this has reassured him that the kennels are fine and we are there to help, so he will eat better... well done today friend.

What a sad wkend.....I also remember Caddy very well. A reasonable age but again not fair to be only 6 months short of his 12th birthday. His parents will be so upset but I hope they take comfort from knowing they gave him a good life. I saw him around a year or 2 ago & he was still a lovely friendly easy going boy. RIP boy....may god lift you up & guide you to comfort. Love Seana, Fergal & Theo xxx

Who can forget this gorgeous pair of boys. I loved them but had my hands full at the time. Not even 10....far too young....its so unfair. Poor Saddle.....I do hope he will gradually adjust.....it will I am sure be very hard for him. Helen & Andy will be gutted. Sending our sadness and warmest wishes at this time of grief. My gorgeous beloved boy - Roy, unfortunately passed to Rainbow Bridge this week...... I would have adopted Roy and his brother Saddle (who were absolutely partners in crime!) in a heartbeat if the time had of been right all those years ago. Run free fella - I will never forget you xxxx Hugs go to Andy and Helen and of course his brother Saddle x
