This kind sweet Girl is a dream ?? We had Quivers over night Saturday. She was a very good girl, she was so happy and loved a fuss, she loved our Grey Sam and they shared the space of our home well. We went for a walk and she was good on the lead and enjoyed meeting other dogs. She ate her food well and drank plenty of water too. She goes out in the garden to toilet on command, she had a little accident but was at the back door and we didn’t get the message quick enough ???? She took a while to settle at night but did sleep downstairs better on a folded up quilt and cosy blanket. Quivers is a beautiful girl loving and so affectionate, she got on well with Sam and I think she would be great as a single dog or with others as she likes all the fuss but good at sharing too. She doesn’t mind being picked up to get in cars and even carried up stairs lol She will make someone a wonderful loving pet

Anyone who’s looking to adopt one of the greys, please don’t forget the ones who are out on foster. It’s often because they’re not happy in kennels and need to have people or dogs around them but they also need their forever sofas. Thank you on their behalf 🙂 xx

    I’m Homed

Woody is still with us as a foster dog. He is a real sweetheart. He’s still a little nervous if there are unexpected noises but he’s more confident now when he meets people when we’re out on a walk. He’s happy to meet any dog on a lead, and mid-sized or larger dogs off lead, but seems fascinated by smaller dogs that are running around and can’t seem to know what to make of them. Once they’ve slowed down for a sniff, he’s ok, but he needs more practice to realise they’re ok if they’re running past. He still likes spending time upstairs but comes down regularly and has started to spend parts of an evening in the lounge with us. Please someone, give this gorgeous boy his forever home. He’d be fine in a house with or without other greys, and I expect would be fine with larger dogs but may need time to meet and get to know smaller dogs. He’d also be fine with older children. Xx

    I’m Homed

Yet another crazy day. Many thanks to my lovely Sunday volunteers, I barely got to see them today!!! We had lots of sand run bookings, please call us and give us some notice as when you would like to book in as it is becoming very popular and busy. We had a viewing booked for this morning, it was originally mentioned that Sammy was of interest, but the lovely couple came in with an open mind. They viewed Sammy, Stan and Will, they decided on little Sammy, so off she went home this afternoon. X Bess went home this morning, wishing her and her family all the very best, her new mom works for one of the trainers so has had Grey's before and is very experienced. We had donations of bedding, tinned dog food, dog treats and hooman treats too, thanks so very much, so very kind. Quiver came back from her overnight stay, she was less than happy, however, Deb who had been fostering Billy took her out on foster as Billy has gone out to hopefully his new home :))) Stan finally had his arrival bath and health check today, he was too nervous on Friday, he was really good. He seems to have found his feet as at feeding time he grumbled at the other dogs!! He is such a lovely boy. I'm sure his stay will be a short one. We left tonight with the remaining residents wrapped up in their fleecey coats and heating on. Stay safe, well and warm all. X

Bee was fantastic with the two small and very lively dogs that came today and she has gone off on trial to her new home. She has been stopping with me since she damaged her tail last Sunday and has been an absolute dream at our house. I re-dressed her tail and it is healing well - phew! I will miss you little Bee xx

Wow what a crazy but great day! Kate and I have been run off our feet and are about to drop! It is very cold and the 'kids' have their under bed heating on, their PJ's on and the radiators at Hotel Daybreaks! We are going home in a short while to defrost ourselves! Thank you to our volunteers otherwise we would have been here 'til midnight :-()

Ah Quivers, you are adorable and it has been sad to see you so fed up & shut down in kennels. Obviously you like being out in the big, wide world with lots of company and things going on. Enjoy your overnight stay sweetheart. xx

Quivers was collected this morning for a day out - but it appears she is very much enjoying herself so she is coming back tomorrow lunchtime. She has been incredibly withdrawn in the kennels but when out, she is a very happy little lass.

Gorgeous little Jess has gone out to foster and she will be back in the New Year! She is such a sweet girl and following her stroke, the best place for her is in a home environment. x
