    I’m Homed

The Friday Team was a bit depleted toady due to illness, fortunately it was a very quiet day so we were still able to give the boys & girls morning and afternoon walks. Sending get well wishes to all the poorly crew, hoping they will soon be on the mend. This morning saw the arrival of Stan. He is such a handsome boy but is extremely nervous at the minute, quite understandable as he finds himself in a new and strange environment where nothing is familiar to him. As he was quite stressed we weren't able to get him in the bath, but we hope that after a good nights sleep he will start to settle in and gain some confidence bless him. As I am typing this in the office I can see the monitor for the cameras in the kennel blocks and everyone has settled down nicely - especially the gorgeous Sammy who is upside down on her bed with her legs in the air!! Well the weekend is here again, and the diary looks busy, so keep fingers crossed for some red or green signs by Monday. I shall be raising a glass or 2 later to toast our lovely boys & girls as usual - may the forever homes they deserve be theirs very soon. Whatever you are up to this weekend, stay safe & keep warm. Cheers!! Angie x

Another cold day, thanks to our Wednesday walkers for coming in this morning and to the rest of the volunteers for doing afternoon walks. It was fairly quiet for visitors so not much to report on that! Lovely Swift, now Hazel went home, good luck to her and her family. Denise had cleaned most of the kennels before I arrived, she insists on coming in at an ungodly hour!! She was also on chicken house duty, she had a bit of a panic when Bobby chicken escaped, thankfully she didn't get to far.

Oh god bless you bee, just look at those walls! I feel Ruth and denises' pain! How the heck does it possibly create such a mess?! When jet did it at the hotel it went over every wall, soaked the carpet and got the ceiling, all the doors, wood work everything was covered, it gets in places you never knew could exist! He created that mess in about 30 secs as I was panicking about how I was going to get it all up but equally I just needed to get him out of the area! The cleaner actually said, as long as your dog is ok it's fine, but we were just really worried that someone had been shot or something! Xxx

    I’m Homed

Sunday morning we were greeted to a blood bath of a kennel (to truly believe the enormity I’ve added a photo but more than happy to remove if asked…) It took ages for Denise and I to clean it as it looked like a murder scene with blood on the ceiling and out into the corridor! :-((((( poor Beatrice had split her tail :-(((( I bandaged it and the lovely Elizabeth took her to the park after she’d had breakfast. She then enjoyed time in the sand run for the open day and seeing Santa! By meeting and greeting everyone with her very happy personality she then found herself reserved! She came home with me Sunday evening and I took her to the vets yesterday. It took the vet a while to remove the dressing as I was determined it wasn’t coming off! The end of the tail just needs plenty of time to recover so it has been redressed and she has been started on antibiotics. She is such a sweet little girl x
