What a lovely dog, so full of character and very affectionate. He always wants a big cuddle. So impressed with the kennels and the care these beautiful dogs get. Will be back sunday for more walkies! x

So pleased to hear Larry is doing well on his medication and his Easidri coat is helping to keep him cool; I think we need the human version! Xxx

  • Sparky

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Sparky would like to say: " Well, I have been in my foster home for a whole month now and I have learnt lots of new things. I am a very good boy, and can be left on my own for short spells as I like my own company and am quite happy to lie and snooze in my basket. I don't pester when there's food around, but I do like a treat now and again (especially bits of cheese or chicken!!). I'm getting much better at being out in the big world, although when I go somewhere new I have to stay standing up so I can see what's going on around me, but foster Mummy & Daddy say I have grown in confidence already and this will get better with time. I met a big, black, long haired German Shepherd dog today, he lives next door down the road and I saw him through his garden gate - we went nose to nose and had waggy tails and Daddy said I was such a good boy, yay! Mummy & Daddy are hoping that my forever family are coming for me soon, because they are going to the seaside in August and would like me to be settled before they go. Hope you are all keeping cool in this heat wave, big woofs to everyone - Sparky". xx

Larry is responding well to the drug for heart failure...it has given him a lot more energy although he does struggle with this heat so we bought him an Easy Dri cool coat from Daybreaks yesterday. Have used it a lot today and it calms down his panting.

Can't believe 9 months already that Gemma found a new forever home. Still tolerating Stanley especially when he nicks her spot but luckily they do like some different places to flop down especially in the sun.

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Stanley and Gemma had a 2 night break last week which they seemed to have enjoyed and hopefully they were well behaved. As usual rushed to see me - perhaps its the treats - nice to be greeted by 2 wagging tails although they can hurt. Love the way they settle down wherever they want to - ie. Stanley lay down in front sink so Mum couldn't wash up and if she wanted to cook she couldn't as Gemma lay there. Just as bad as my cat Thomas always lying in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even though obviously smaller than greys, he doesn't like to be moved. Mum & Dad have new neighbours and they have a cat - interesting as don't think Stanley very good although Gemma talks to them. Actually they haven't met my 2 - that will be fun if we ever try it.

In the nicest possible way Foggie, I really hope you fail at fostering (which basically means you keep little Jelly). Knowing her throughout her racing career I believed she needed an experienced Greyhound owner (if only because of her keeness for smaller species (which i'm sure she'll grow out of). That aside she's so much fun and no doubt will love playing with your G's and you! Enjoy x

Angel had a quiet night. She does all her toileting outside. She has eaten very well too. We set off to the park this morning in 'Battle of Britain' formation with giant Larry flanked by smaller Misty and tiny Angel (Jelly Bean/ Jelly Baby). Angel was fine until we spotted a small dog off lead chasing a ball on a rope at which point she pretended to be a helicopter. This wound Misty up who tried to tell her off, but hey ho all good training opportunities.

Like Ladyvic said good things happen on the 15th July- like me!! Just had a gentle walk down the canal with dad & Dreamer, well it was gentle till we saw a squirrel and decided to give chase down the tow path- now know what those horses felt like pulling a barge(sorry dad)! Dads got his shopping list so treats 4 tea yum yum. Birthday wish, fellow hounds to find their forever homes and could someone turn the heat down please!

1 has ended up at my house after wandering the streets and being goodness knows where before that. Had mammary tumour due to not being spayed. 🙁 Yes, they need to be rehomed, but this is just so wrong!
