How lovely for Angel! Thank you so much for fostering her; she has been very down in the dumps for the last week or so, I am sure spending some time with you will really cheer her up. She is such a sweet little girl. Xxx

Oh Angel I am so happy that you are getting a little holiday from the kennels and a chance to see what life in a home is all about. Be a good girl and enjoy yourself, but learn things too. Thank you Foggie for taking her, she is a real live wire but so cute and she will definitely benefit from being with you. x

Well we went to the kennels today to do our first bit of volunteer dog walking, leaving Misty and Larry at home in the cool. I drove in my small car so there would be no danger of us coming home with number 3. That didn't work did it! After seeing little Angel returning from her walk and refusing to go back into her kennel (she had to be carried) we agreed to fostering her so she could get used to being in a home. We are first time foster parents. Once home I took Angel or Gelie--pronounced Jelly) to the park where our two came to meet us. Jelly has settled down well after a few instances of growling at Misty and Larry. She is such a tiny girl she is probably feeling she needs to make her presence felt somehow. She has a very waggy tail! As soon as we got home some unexpected visitors arrived but Angel wasn't fazed at all, just making herself comfortable on the visitors feet.

Ripple (Edith)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
oops I've done flashys trick this week and pulled my nail clean out when I was playing in the garden, mum new just what to do and bandaged by paw up and took me to the vets where I was brave and had one injection and a nice pink bandage put on. When we got home mum showed me the tablets I had to take (how did the vet do it they were the same colour as my bandage amazing) The bandage is now off thanks to mum and a bit of chewing by myself as I thought she needed the help. I'm now back to having walks with flashy big bum but they are shorter than normal as my paw is still a bit tender. XX

Tessa
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Poor Tessa had to go back to the vets again this afternoon. The wound under her chin is weeping a lot so she has more antibiotics and additional pain relief. She is so stressed at the kennels and keeps trying to escape at every possible opportunity so I have brought her home to keep an eye on her. She has been a bit stressed but has settled now and is currently fast asleep - she is such a lovely little girl.

Sparky
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Haha Michelle - 'fraid not, we must content ourselves with being foster parents!! He's been so good in the heat, content to lie in the cool & snooze and have a little play when it gets cooler, and his appetite certainly isn't suffering!! Hope Bertie's doing ok, see you soon. x

Unfortunately this looks genuine. The advertiser, is a trainer at Hall Green. I've spoken to someone I know about her and they are going to see what they can do but it's unlikely she can be stopped. Dread to think where some of these dogs might end up.

Has anyone seen the advert on Gumtree, a lady in Hall Green offering ex racers for free?.. just wondered if it was genuine.

Sparky
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I am SO proud of the beautiful Sparky today. I have been at the kennels all day, so Michael dropped me off early this morning. Then he had medical appointments for himself and my Dad, then had to come back to the kennels to pick me up at 4.00pm. Sparky was left on his own several times today, and behaved like an absolute star. He was so delighted to see us this afternoon his tail nearly wagged itself off! I bought him a "Shake a Fox" toy from the kennels which he absolutely loves and set about trying to "dead" as soon as he saw it!!! I can't describe just how special this boy is turning out to be - he really just needed his chance, and is definitely making the most of it. I so hope his forever home happens for him soon, as we are falling under his spell!! xxxx
