Hi everyone, we adopted Bugsy (aged 3) in January and have loved every minute of having her, she loves other dogs and I am wondering about adopting another dog so they can keep each other company and enjoy running around together. On a practical point we have a Renault Megane (hatchback) - would two greyhounds fit in the boot together?... can't see it myself! Have two kids already filling the back seats... Really like the look of Sid... is it better to get the same sex or different? Any comments would be very welcome. Thanks Anne.

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Had a lovely cuddle with Bunny yesterday when we dropped off the duvets & stuff picked up at Sutton Walk. She is so very sweet and it was lovely to see her little tail wag when Lena came to the kennel door to say hello to her. Bunny had a very quiet way of asking me to keep fussing her whenever I stopped! I hope someone will see past her initial shyness and make space in their home and their heart for this little poppet. I'm sure that over time she would blossom in a home environment. Our Lola was very quiet when we first had her but once she started to open up we had a very different dog. She's still and always will be much quieter and less busy than Lena, but nevertheless has a strong personality, with very definite opinions on what she likes and what she doesn't (anyone who has witnessed her greyhound police routine at Saturday training will agree I'm sure) I can imagine Bunny gradually emerging from her shell in a similar way so I'm keeping everything crossed that there's someone out there for her xxx

My beautiful Nora has come back to Daybreaks..... sadly she has been toileting in the house, become aggressive towards other dogs out on the walk, growling at the other greyhound in the house, crying at 5am and eating the children's toys. The family feel it is the right decision to return her and we support their decision. Nora is coming home with me tonight and is off to a foster home tomorrow. I will keep you posted on she gets on but we hope to find this little girl a home soon.

Ella met a small fluffy dog today and was brilliant, we went for a little walk and she showed hardly any interest at all.

Hello the cout family !! wonderful news that you have adopted Laddy !! i just thought that I would drop you a line, when we adopted Bertie a year ago he had only been at Daybreaks a week and also had quite a lot of teeth removed ( all of his lower front ones ) the first week or so he dribbled constantly and I thought oh no, I had to follow him around the house with a towel !! however after a few weeks his dribbling stopped, I think that he got used to having no teeh and he was less nervous !! he does have a really cute thing that his lack of teeth mean his toungue sliips out of the side of his moth when he is tried !! lol - good luck to you all, michelle & Bertie.

Rooney went to Melbicks today, he was very well behaved although he got a little vocal when he saw another dog he was easily distracted, he had lots of cuddles from children and loved it! Such an adorable boy.
