Marco
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Oh Helen, what an amazing story. It must have been awful stuck outside in that dreadful weather, but what troopers the boys sound to have behaved so well and waited so patiently in the cold. Henry on watch and Marco providing protection and comfort - just goes to show how incredible and special Greys are. Maybe Marco is still getting used to being part of a big pack and this is why he prefers to keep himself to himself at times? He sounds just wonderful and I'm delighted that he is blossoming with you and your family.x

Pete
I’m Homed
Ah, such a shame for the boy. Glad that Tigger is ok, it must have been frightening for all concerned. In no way are you letting Pete down, you have given him a try and have shown that unfortunately he can't live happily with cats, but that in every other way he is a star - that is great for potential rehomers, it is the sort of "inside information" that really helps get the dog find the right home. His forever home is out there, and now we know so much more about him too. Take care. xx

Mia (Splash)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Two years ago today a most beautiful little girl with sad anxious eyes and snowflake markings stepped into our house for the first time. At the same moment she stepped into our hearts. We have often said that getting Mia two years ago today was one of the best things we ever did ... and one of the other best things we did was getting her cheeky little greyhound companion Evi two months later. We didn't know much about greyhounds before we got our two special girls but now we think they are the most wonderful breed in the world. We LOVE greyhounds and our two girls most of all. Happy "gotcha" day Mia! xxxxxxx

Pete
I’m Homed
We sadly had to take Pete back to Daybreaks today. Pete had a incident with Tigger the cat. Pete was muzzled and Tigger is ok. When we began fostering we agreed we would only foster if it did not cause too much stress to our current family. Despite following all of the guidance, the same we have done with all of ours greys and foster greys, feeding Tigger first, putting her first in the pack, using the water spray, sadly it did not work out. I'm devastated as I feel returning him I have let him down. He is such a wonderful boy he is so full of life and his tail never stops wagging. I took Pete to Sally's training class last night, he was really well behaved and took it all in his stride. 2 lovely ladies took turns in training him and he responded really well. Pete was quite a hit but sadly no one was in a position to offer him a home. Pete has had no accidents in the house. He walks wonderfully on the lead and for a cat free house he has so much to give. I'm hoping some of information we have posted will help to find Pete a home. Ruth has my number and I'm more than happy to talk to anyone about Pete and the time we have spent with him. Sorry boy, I hope your forever home is just around the corner. X

Rory
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Rory looked totally fed up yesterday and didn't want to go back into his kennel after his walk down the lane.I took him and my little lurcher up to Elmdon Park for a longer walk.He traveled well with Milly she in the front and Rory in the back.He thoroughly enjoyed his walk but was a little perplexed by the sight of several geese and assorted ducks. The pair of them spotted a squirrel of great interest but both were well behaved no noise and no lunging. He did whip round on the lead when an off lead spaniel ran towards him again no noise or lunging -just curiosity.Rory was happy to walk side by side with Milly he did lean into me a bit and enjoyed lots of cuddles. He is a lovely boy who will be a lovely companion he just needs to be out of kennels. It was quite sad when we arrived back as he didn't want to go back into the kennels he is a boy who just wants to be out and and about and receive lots of love which I am sure he will return by the bucketful. There are lots of positives about Rory and I urge anyone considering a grey to have a look at him.In the right home he will be absolutely fab.
