Oh my! This morning we have been greeted with poo city! Our four newbies that arrived yesterday were VERY happy to see us! With having the Blood Bank on site too, this meant the routine of our current residents was altered and this soon reflects in the cleanliness of their kennel! I have our lovely 3 work experience students cracking on with me whilst we scrub and very soon the kennels will be sparkling. I will be adding a video of our newbies onto our Daybreaks Trust Chat page on Facebook later - the three sisters are tiny and absolutely adorable! Tulip is currently in the kitchen helping make breakfasts for everyone! Happy Friday everyone x

A very busy day today! The Pet Blood Bank were here again. Trust dogs Billy, Incy and Spirit were all first time donors and Gino donated for the second time. They all loved the extra attention and of course treats! Well done to our brave boys. :)) Xxx Also donating were past Daybreaks boys Sammy, Dasher and Barney. It was Barney's last donation as he is retiring because of his age. Barney has always loved coming to see the Blood Bank staff and they have loved seeing him! They gave him a big jar of treats, which I am sure he will share with his brother Caesar! :)) Well done to Barney, its great to know his donations will have been used to help save the lives of many other dogs. 🙂 Xxx If you are interested in your dog becoming a donor for the Pet Blood Bank, please give them a call on 01509 232 222 or visit their website www.petbloodbankuk.org. It is a great thing to do...every unit of blood donated helps save up to four lives. Xxx We also had four new arrivals this afternoon! First to join us was the very handsome, Roxie. A lovely, happy, big lad! 🙂 Xxx Then we were treated to not just one, but three very pretty little girls! Sisters, Tulip, Alder and Elm. So very cute! Lots of happy energy...it was great to see all three of them in the runs, tails wagging and enjoying the fuss and attention which we were all very happy to provide! :)) Their Trainer is very fond of them all and hopes they will soon find loving forever homes. Xxx Thank you so much to all our lovely volunteers and students for all your help today. Xxx I am very grateful to Ruth for coming in this afternoon, on her day off to help book in the new arrivals. Very much appreciated! Xxx Xxx

Yesterday was a lovely day… we had some new volunteers who absolutely fell in love with Spirit. Later that evening I had a message to say they would like to offer him a foster home from this weekend. I’m over the moon as he’d certainly be on my sofa if I didn’t have Miss Vodka my cheeky Egyptian girl!

Another big cuddle for lovely Billy B....thanks so much to Norman for taking him for a visit to the park this morning. Xxx Billy had a great time and it really cheered him up! This afternoon, he seemed a lot happier and we even had a waggy tail at dinner time. :))

    I’m Homed

Billy B only arrived at Daybreaks on Friday but today paid a visit to Brueton Park. After being lifted into the car he travelled quietly with no problems. In the park he was at first curious at meeting other breeds but did not show any aggression. He does like to suddenly "plant" himself whist walking and would possibly enjoy his walks with another dog beside him

A big cuddle for Billy B tonight. He is a lovely young lad, a little unsure of his new surroundings at the moment, needs some encouragement to come out his kennel, but likes a gentle fuss. Xxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Roy and Saddle were the perfect double act....there was no way we could have split them up. Xxx Not the easiest of boys to home, but thanks to Helen and Andy they have had a wonderful happy home together. :)) Xxx Sadly, after nearly 10 years they have had to go their separate ways, but I'm sure Roy's spirit will always be with his brother and best friend Saddle. Xxx Sending lots of love to you all. Xxx Kate, Skip, Lyra and Cracker. Xxx

Well… something happened today that rarely happens! I went for a walk with the kennel dogs! I had to photograph the moment of course which is on our facebook page. After returning we had a viewing which resulted in River being rehomed - yay! X
