My precious Lola has had a rough day today. She's had to have surgery to remove one of her toes. We found a swelling a couple of weeks ago which looked like an abscess forming - it was she had been charging round the garden in the snow so we thought she'd maybe pricked it on a thorn though we couldn't see anything in it . At the weekend it was looking a bit odd & Paul popped her to the vets on Monday. We we shocked to be told it was a tumour and not an infection and the toe needed to be removed as these types can be nasty. We are having it analyzed & results should be back next week. If it's the type we hope it is then it should be localised and the amputation should do the trick so keeping everything crossed. She's a bit out of it at the moment but seems pleased to be home in her own bed. And for anyone who knows Lola ....you will know how much she loves being in bed. Lena has missed her sis today but has been for a long walk with her friends Blue & Ben so she's pretty tired herself. We might be excused from Julie's training classes for a week or three until she's back to her normal self but hope to see all our hooman and greyhound friends soon xxx

Patrick is absolutely gorgeous and it's so sad that he's back. He seems happy to be sharing with Tina, and he really needs the reassurance and security of some company. Big cuddles for you my lovely boy. x

Never mind Patrick- I have to say all my greys were like this to start with but I found given a week or two this usually settles as they become more confident in their new home environment and realise they are stuck with you foreverxx

Rumble is such a handsome boy. Understandably, he's still a little bit nervy but he's so friendly and likes to give kisses and is well behaved on his walk. The barking labs were out at the farm, he whined a little bit but I feel that was just a nervous reaction to this strange noise as he didn't pull or lunge - we just walked on by! Cuddles for you my beauty. xx
