    I’m Homed

I am so broken hearted for you as I know what you have been through trying to help Dan - it has been a really tough time for you and to see your own boy suffer is heartbreaking and not having the support of your own vets. You took the brave decision to help Dan gain his wings to fly to Rainbow Bridge and he is no longer suffering. Your heart is full of pain at the moment but the happy memories will shine through and stay in your hearts forever. Thank you for giving Mr Dan a fabulous loving home and supporting him through so much - it is such a shame that by the time you got to see Christian, it was too late.... big hugs to you and of course Cleo who will be missing her big greyhound brother. Much love, Ruth xxxx

A fabulous £165 has been donated so far to help pay for Rosie B's operation - I am enormously thankful to everyone who has donated - our vet bills can top several thousand pounds some months so your generosity is really very much appreciated. We couldn't help the greyhounds without your help and support.

Huggie is so well behaved around the house and is adorable, we are really hoping our cat will soon start to feel the same!!! He is excellent in the park and eating and sleeping very well. We are hoping the weekend bring more progress with our cat.

Glad that Huggie is slowly settling in with the cats. Give him a big hug from me, I am so glad he has a new home and I hope that it will be forever as he deserves it. He is such a good natured dog and was getting lots of fuss from children on the roadshow.

  • Minnie

    I’m Homed

For some reason this morning I thought of Minnie as myself and my hubby were talking about our Tom's racing family. I had been looking at their info on Greyhound Data some time ago, I realised looking today that Minnie is our Tom's sister. Reading up on Minnie here she sounds just like Tom very loving and likes a bit of fun too. She may suit a family if she is like Tom as he is very friendly and ok with other dogs. I hope that Minnie finds a home very soon.

Hi T .. I like it LOL Something that may help him to use his poorly leg .. get two kiddies hair scrunchies and put one on each hind leg- either above the hock or at the bottom (wrist) and ask him to walk for a little while - 5 mins max at first, encourage him with nice 'sweeties' then take it off as he'll be using muscles which he hasn't used for sometime and they will tire easily and you don't want to strain them. You may need to use 4 scrunchies - one on each leg, just see what helps him 🙂 but keep it short aand gradually build up to using the scrunchies for longer and even for his walks 🙂 Hope your knees better soon - I've just really hurt mine- doc said ligaments but the wonderful Emma Bryce has worked miracles in one session and I can walk on it and it hardly hurts ... shame my plan of 2 weeks off work to watch the Olympics failed LOL See you soon Julie xx

I just kept looking back at Fearnes face everyday and feeling sad so this news is Fantastic . I just hope that the new owners use the support and advice that Daybreaks gives and this forum to tell us all about the good times and the not so easy times , the not so easy times soon become fond , lasting, funny and great memories as your new dog starts to understand just how loving us humans can be and then brings you a washing up sponge from the kitchen sink to say thank you... All the best Fearne and your new owners...( and if you need and more inspiration look at dog 770) Jeffrey , Carrie and Teddy xx
