Its lovely to read that Bob is settling in so well. He was one of my favourites and I was delighted when that reserved sign finally came up. It sounds to me like he has fallen on his feet with you & I wish you lots of happy times together.

Aside from all of the other excitement around Norris this week, there is an update on his rehabilitation as well. When he was discharged from the Willows, the vet who operated on him said if after 6 weeks he seemed OK, then he could do a little more than 5 mins in the garden on lead several times a day. Needing to know what that meant, Paul spoke to him yesterday and we now have a plan! This week he can do some 10 minute walks so we are starting with twice a day to see how he goes and that can be increased to 3 or maybe 4 times a day if all is well. Next week 15 min walks and then 20 min walks the week after. He went for his first walk last night with Paul and I took him this morning just down our road. Well.... it made his little day! He is so sweet and the world is just sooo amazing to him. He looks at everything and you just imagine him saying 'wow.. look at that tree' and 'wow.. amazing... look at that plastic bag blowing up that drive'. All that without misbehaving at all, just in awe of everything. It's cute and so very endearing! Bless! xxx

Hi Fi. Norris was reserved then he wasn't and now he is again by a new family. Yesterday he met their other little dog, mum and the children and today he met dad and the decision was made. Yippee I'm so pleased.. As long as all goes well, he'll be able to go from our home to theirs without having to go back to kennels. Wonder if Lola & Lena will miss him...? xxx

    I’m Homed

This lad is such a poppet! He is so clean in the house, even asks to go out. I wonder if he HAS been in a home before....he's not worried by the noisy hoover, washing machine, or stairs at all. He is such a confident dog and has to investigate everything. Had to laugh the other night as I took him out for his before bed wee up the garden - I have a patio in front of the back door, then gravel and then a grass area. He got as far as the gravel area (I've had to lay some stepping stones for him!) and then did his Muffin the Mule impression and there's NO shifting him when he gets like that. I suddenly realised that my big tough boy was frightened of the dark up the top garden!! Bless him....he looked at me as if to say: 'No Mum...I'm not going up there....it's dark' I put an extra outside light on and off he went. 🙂 Has a bit of a whinge when I leave him, but soon settles and I leave him in the utility room with the door to the kitchen open for him and all's been fine. Ruth was right about being like a toddler, he's into everything and last night decided that the pond needed further thorough investigation.......where there's a will... 🙂 Went for a short walk just now as it's still so warm and there was a cat lazing about on a driveway....he saw it and looked away and carried on walking - no reaction whatsoever! Then a pigeon flew almost over his head and again no reaction. He is now crashed out in the classic grey position. No problem giving him his antibiotics as he's such a greedy git with his food 🙂 He has decided that 11pm seems a good time to go to bed and sits by the door asking to go. It's absolutely amazing how he has just taken to being here. I feel so very lucky to have been able to rehome him xx
