Hi everyone! Just thought I’d update you. This weekend has been eventful and the hoomans have been very proud and disappointed at the same time. We went to visit the two Labradors again to get me use to dogs. I was excellent with them and I didn’t growl once. I was very happy with them and we each shared kisses and waggy tails. Another dog was added this time which was a spaniel. Considering I have never met her I was excellent straight away with her. Massive progress made and that’s why the hoomans are very proud! However during that time the bin seemed to have exploded! Oops…. Mess everywhere. When we got home the hoomans decided to bath me! I couldn’t believe it. All this water suddenly started to come at me. It was horrible. I suppose the shampooing part was ok but everything else was awful. I’m not going in that room again. Lubs Monty xx

Ooh Bono is absolutely delightful! He was very happy to meet Skip and I this morning. Angie went into the run to take him back to his kennel and he decided to give her a hug! He was taller than Angie 🙂 What a lovely personality he has. Xxx

So sad for Charlie that his reservation has fallen through, he really doesn't like being cooped up in a kennel. However, he did have a lovely time this morning on a playdate with the pretty Hollie, a regular sand run visitor who likes to have a companion to play with in the run. After careful introductions, they played beautifully together in the run - and Charlie showed us his love of playing with tennis balls. Such sweet boy, fingers crossed he doesn't have to wait too long for another chance. x

The lovely Bono arrived at lunchtime, and what a friendly happy chappy he is. As he was waiting in the feeding run for all the paperwork to be completed before we took him for his arrival checks, he found the squeaky ball and started having a play with it - as well as dispensing kisses to anyone within reach. Welcome to Daybreaks sweetheart. x

Daybreaks Diary!

It was an early start for Ruth today as she was on the Vet run with the handsome Totsi. As well as being neutered the poor boy had 17 teeth out, no wonder he didn't look a happy chappy on his return to kennels this afternoon bless him. Hope he feels better tomorrow. x We managed to dodge most of the showers & monsoons and give the boys & girls morning and afternoon walks. Although nice to be cooler, a little less wet would be appreciated!! (We are never satisfied are we??!!) Sadly Charlie is no longer reserved, but he had a lovely playdate in the sand run with regular visitor Hollie to cheer him up. After careful introductions, Hollie & Charlie had a whale of a time playing together, apparently Charlie loves tennis balls! Lunchtime saw the arrival of the gorgeous Bono - what an affectionate, happy chappy he is. He was very "helpy" whilst we were trying to scan his microchip and check his ear tattoos - and was happily dispensing kisses all round and whacking everybody with his tail! On the afternoon walk he pulled initially - understandable as everything & everybody was completely new to him, but he soon settled and walked very nicely. Ruth spent a lot of the day on her knees tending to teeth & poorly paws, and there were a couple of health checks done too. Unfortunately our washing machine finally gave up the ghost - with a wet load still inside it!! It looked a bit like the mother ship landing with all the lights flashing! We managed to finally get it switched off and got the soggy washing out - but if anyone knows of a machine going spare please let us know, we are a bit desperate now! Well another weekend is here, bringing August with it - can't believe where the time is going! A few more appointments in the diary this weekend so fingers crossed. It's a red wine kind of day today, so will raise my glass later to all our lovely boys & girls - may their forever sofas be just around the corner. Whatever you're up to this weekend stay safe - cheers! Angie xx
