Billy is a beautiful big lad....he isn't very happy to be in his kennel and Likes to be out in one of the runs where he can see what's going on. :)) He is very affectionate and loves a cuddle. Hoping it won't be long before he finds his forever home. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

I met all our lovely newbies this morning and what an amazing crew they are.Good kennels meant that cleaning was done in record time - well done kids. So, we have a kennels full of brilliant big, black boys! Such beautiful boys who may be big in size, but are so loving and affectionate I just know they would fold up nicely into their forever home space. Our girls are typical girls - small in stature but lively, bouncy and fun!! If you would like to meet any of our boys and girls please give us a call on 0121 782 7702 and make arrangements to come and say hello. Stay safe and warm everyone. Angie x

Happy 13th birthday wishes....... Happy 13th birthday to our gorgeous Asbo Arry. So far this morning he is having a lie in, to be followed, when he surfaces by breakfast, more sleeping and a special dinner of fish and chips and then his 'normal' dinner. You make me laugh every day when my carers come with your refusal to move from the sofa, sometimes you will raise your head but usually just open an eye to see what is happening. So still a little bit Asbo but wouldn't want it any other way!! Happy birthday Arry, love you loads. Xxx

It was a busy day at the kennels today with a visit from the Pet Blood Bank. We are very grateful to Barney, Boycie, Shadow, Star, Betty, Freida, Sammy and Nadia for coming in to donate. Xxx :)) Trust dogs, Missy, Violet, Gino and Monty also donated. Xxx We welcomed pretty girl River to Daybreaks this afternoon. What a happy little whirlwind she is! :)) We decided it was far too cold for her to have a bath! Hopefully the temperature should rise in the next few days. Xxx It was bitterly cold today...Brrr....We did go out for walks, but the dogs had fleeces and winter Blizzards on so quite snug. The heaters were kept on in the kennels, so it was nice and warm for them when they got back. Thanks so much to all of our volunteers who braved the chilly weather to look after our boys and girls. Roll on spring!! Xxx

Monty donated blood to the Pet Blood Bank for the second time today. :)) Sue, our new volunteer went into the Mobile Blood Bank van with him. She said he was very keen to sample all of the treats on offer! When the team were leaving this afternoon, the vet told me Monty had been her favourite donor today! :)) It would be great if the next time they visit us, Monty came back to donate with his family as a pet dog. Lots of love to our handsome lad. Xxx
