We are shocked and saddened to hear about Fletch and so very sorry for you all. I believe this breed are so very special, they work their way into our hearts so easily and its so very hard to lose them, even more so when its sudden and unexpected. God needed a special angel and so he recalled one of the best, far too soon. A very special bright star shines. Take care xx

Fletcher (Ballymac Brandon) 14th March 2013 - 1st June 2021 It is with complete and utter disbelief I find myself having to write we lost our beloved Fletch yesterday. After suddenly being taken ill he was gone within a day. He leaves behind a totally devastated family. John and I have lost our precious wonderful lad. Skip has lost his big Brother and Lyra has lost her best friend, play mate and protector. A happy, friendly boy he was very much loved by all. Xxx Fletch was always full of life, he loved his walks, his food and his little sister Lyra. 🙂 For four years we had the pleasure of his company and we will cherish the many happy memories we have of him. We feel so very sad he has been taken from us so young. I think back to the day he arrived at Daybreaks, speaking to his racing owner who told me..."He doesn't have a bad bone in his body" How right he was! Xxx God Bless you Fletch, our Angel. I know there are lots of new friends at Rainbow Bridge waiting to welcome you. All our love now and always. Xxxxxxxxxx

Sadly Jack was returned to the kennels on Monday, this was through no fault of his own. His owners were very upset to bring him back. He is a super lad and would really love a forever home, he is good with other greyhounds and loves bananas!!!!

Daybreaks Diary!

Well, Monday is not my usual working day. Not too much in the diary....just more nails!!! Thanks so much to Yvonne, Dave, Tia, Gloria and Gill for all their help today and to Jess and her mom for taking Alley to the park, he has a possible viewing tomorrow, fingers crossed. There will be a further update on today's events, that will hopefully be posted tomorrow. Hoping Kate's Fletch is feeling better soon, not quite the 'day off' she was looking forward to. As always stay safe and well everyone. X

Dexter (Alley)

Alley joined myself and my mum out for a walk in Elmdon park. He is a very sweet boy, walks well on the lead. He didn’t jump in or out of my boot however doesn’t mind being lifted in and stands well whilst driving. Once at the park we passed a few people, then a person on a bike passed and it became clear that this poor lad is afraid of them! We made sure to give a wide birth the rest of the walk of any bikes and he seemed to prefer that. We met a few other breeds of dogs, a playful whippet in which he seemed a little unsure of when she was running around him - with time I’m sure he will be fine! He needs a few more trips in the big wide world to understand that there is nothing to be too worried about and there is more to life than a kennel block! Xx
