I am desperate to find Abbie a home.... she has gone on hunger strike and no matter what we offer her - she doesn't want it 🙁 Harry and Lass are off to their new homes on Saturday so I will take her home but I hope she has found a new home before then.... she is breaking our hearts at the kennels.

Maisie is bright and happy this morning. The swelling seems to be going down & the open area is drying up. She has continued to eat well throughout & this morning was no exception. She really is a true fighter. I will keep you all posted as the week goes on. X

She sounds a real star 🙂 I feed mine (and me) Neem Genie's Multicapsules which are Neem (an antifungal/bacterial/viral herb) and Tumeric the spice which is a natural steroid and anti inflammatory ... Ruth stocks a lot of the Neem products but if she hasn't any try Neem Genie on the internet. Neem boosts the immune system which should really help Maisie ... give her a big gentle hug from me too 🙂 Julie x

Oh what a shame. I am definitely going to be avoiding the kennels whilst this tiny little beauty is around - she must be amazing as she is Kevin's half sister, Sadie's cousin, and Moo's niece. And cat friendly...oh dear...

it's obvious from your message that you love this boy and maybe he was the right hound but just not at the right time, it must be hard to admit that and give him back when you obviously do love him. having any dog in your life is a major life changing thing and it has got to be right for all concerned, if it ends up being stressful for the owner then the dog will find it hard to settle in as they will pick up on the stress. well done Lisa for having the courage to admit that the time was not quite right and for giving him the chance of happiness in a new home by giving him such a glowing reference and explanation. take care Ina x

On a positive note, Maisie walked to the vets & back in record time, she has gained weight again, the wound on her rear end is healing beautifully & the bootie is working a treat to protect her rear right nails from dragging as she walks. In all honesty, she is incredible & we just don't want to lose her. Thanks for all of your kind words. X

Just back & hopeful that it was just an abscess - however, all of the gum is swollen too & it is possible it could be an infection in the bone. If antibiotics are effective then we have no worries. If not, we are looking at x-rays & further investigations . . . fingers crossed - again!!

My poor baby - whatever it is has burst today & appeared to be filled with blood as apposed to puss! I was really starting to hurt her & must be a relief to have released the pressure build up. Popping up to the vets tonight for a diagnosis & more antibiotics if needed. I'll keep you posted. X
