Quick update on Max, he's settled down really well, he's even started to put on a bit of weight at last. He's certainly made himself at home and loves his walks, getting his lead on him as he looks you in the eyes with his paws on your shoulders does take some getting used to but its all part of the Max experience, that and trying to eat the food off the bird table before the birds get there!! All in all he's doing fab and is very, very gentle with our 2 yr old, we wouldn't swap for the world!!xx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Borrowed a bootie from the kennels & we had a trip free, blood free walk today! Maisie seemed to walk even better with the boot on that without. Ruth is going to order one of her own from donations, so thank you for your continued support everyone. X

Oh Honey, I wish I had the room and money for a sweet little thing like you. I know you'll get lots of love and fuss at the kennels, but it's just not the same when you've been used to a home environment. Big hugs, Em xxx

  • Perdi (Nicky)

    I’m Homed

Perdi is very pleased with herself, she's gained a little weight and a lot of confidence; we've started treating Paddy as 'top dog' (below us and Darcy of course) so she doesn't get too big for her boots. She's now tried to chase Darcy twice, little madam, so is under strict supervision! Planning on popping to the kennels tomorrow for a couple of bags of food... xx

It's nice that she has Craig to keep her company and they can snuggle up with each other. I can't get over what a little beaut she is. She gives the same look like my Chillie (the I can get everything with my big brown eyes!). She'll be homed again in no time, in a controlled pig's ear sharing house!! xxx

Poor Honey, hopefully, as she's been homed before, she will find a new home quickly. Nervousness can improve...Perdi is positively cocky these days! x

Oh my goodness, poor girl, she'll be snapped up, it's not really her fault. I'm glad of the warning. Paddy and Perdi have been v sweet together and up until yesterday not a single cross-word, then Paddy finished his dinner and thought he might help Perdi finish hers (as he has done before!) and she growled at him. He backed off and let her get on with it; Thing is, following supervision with treats for the first week, we have given them a chew before leaving them every time we have left them! sounds like we may just have been lucky then!!! xx

Hello, how's Ringo doing with his whining? getting any better? Totally understand what you say about leaving him downstairs. We have a stairgate and upstairs is Mr Darcy's safe place and a no-go zone for the dogs x

Her previous owner wrote: Honey is a lovely dog with a great loving and soft personality but is very nervous and scared of most things but balls especially. All she wants is her bed, love and affection so would love to find someone that could give her just that.

    I’m Homed

Scottie was a brave boy and had the lump on his tail syringed. They think it is an infected cyst which antibiotics should clear up - if not he will have it surgically removed. He got excited at the fluffy dog in the waiting room but soon calmed down and decided looking out the window was far more interesting eventually!
