I’m Homed
Abbie (Sandy) was homed in July 2009. Unfortunately recently she went for one of the other dogs in the family whilst being treated with pigs ears. Sadly due to this aggression, the owner feels she can't keep her and it is felt it is in Abbie's best interest to come back. With discipline and control when giving treats, we feel Abbie will be a great addition to any family. She would probably benefit being homed with another dog as she is used to living with a lurcher and a greyhound. She is house trained and having lived in a home for so long, we hope she will be picked soon.

Maisie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi all! We have a new little problem if anyone has any ideas? Maisie is really enjoying her walks & gets really excited now when it's time to get ready! It's really lovely. She is managing to walk much further now too & very rarely goes down on her back legs. She does occasionally trip on her back right leg, kind of dragging her toes, before she gets back into her stride. This in itself isn't the problem, but as she drags her foot she is catching her nails. They had previously been very overgrown & curling, so were trimmed at the kennels to ease her walking. Unfortunately, as she catches them they are bleeding a little & I am just concerned about infection. The little blood trails are easy to deal with on wooden floors so no problems there - just dont like to my poppet injured. Have thought about a sock or a shoe, but thought she might have trouble walking with one on. Any suggestions gladly received. X deb

Buttons
I’m Homed
Buttons needs somone to see past her slight limp, many dogs have full and active lives with only three legs and we know from past experience that greyhounds are very adaptable dogs .Given time and commitment she will be a happy companion for somone special .

Mindy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi All, Just to let you know the Icemaid Mindy visited the vet's today, her back leg (hip area) is put down to a heratoma. The corns not so bad but not right. The receptionist says she was surprised how lively the Icemaid was after coming round from her X ray with her old legs. Another visit in 3 weeks time. Sylv

Hi Lisag. Is there another room downstairs where he could settle. Our boy always slept on his own and never bothered in the slightest, but when he had to sleep at my Mom and Dad's house (a place he had been so many times before), he whined and whined. We realised that he didn't like the sound of the motor on the back of the fridge, moved him to the lounge and he slept like a baby afterwards. Amanda

the problem is I can't have him upstairs at mo as Bobcat sleeps on my bed, its his safe spot and its not fair on him. Also Ringo has to be muzzled at the mo because of cat. I would like him to get used to sleeping downstairs. He isnt too bad and usually settles after a while but is getting a little upset when Im not around. Ill keep working on it, ignoring him and not making a fuss when he first sees me. xx

Hi Lisag Twiggy sleeps outside our bedroom door on her pillow and duvet. She is happy and it's nice to have her close by. It's funny to listen to her dreaming sometimes...woof, woof, grr! xx
