worst thing i could do is give my three boys a pig's ear each and then leave them to it..would end up in a bloodbath as they love them and will fight over them. they don't ever fight over anything else but bones chews and pig's ears can only be had when i am in the room with them. Poor little girl..she will be fine and hopefully homed soon, she is a poppet, i remember her when she was in before she was homed. xxxx

Beautiful Abbie seemed quite stressed being back at the kennels. However she soon settled with Craig (being the longest stayer I am sure he told her she wouldn't be in long being a pretty fawn girl). We hope someone falls in love with her soon x

Oh dear poor poor girl....I can get that way over food! you sound like my Myles, he is such a big gentle loving boy, but if there is food around he needs to be supervised, his instincts can take a hold as he always gulps his food and treats down first, then eyes Ruby and JoJo! poor family, they must be heartbroken, and I bet the other hounds are missing her too, I can imagine the pain of having to split my 3 upxxxx am hoping you find your forever forever home soonxxx

I brought Scottie home with my last night as we found a lump on his tail which needs to be looked at by the vet this morning. He was really quiet overnight and this morning although he had one accident he has found himself a comfy bed, curled up and gone back to sleep! He is quite a small fella and adorable x ps to Deb - yes he is 🙁

Totally agree with you Julie- feed times are when I'm really, really careful with my dogs, I stand between them whilst they eat, I never leave any food down thro'out the day, no one is allowed to check out the others dish unless they've left the room and they have to 'wait' until I put the dish down before they go and eat. Pigs ears are a very high value treats so most dogs will want more and be tempted to steal from other dogs- not supervising any dog eating treats/Kongs etc when other dogs are around is asking for trouble in my opinion. I wouldn't class any dog as aggressive or a problem dog that has tried to steal food .. just an opportunist who picked the wrong dog to steal from 🙂 and that would be my fault not watching them to make sure no squabbles start. Hope Abbie finds a nice home soon. Julie x

Maisie looks so happy,we met at the Arrow Valley walk recently. There is a pattern for greyhound shoes on the internet which might be of some use for Maisie or any other greys needing protection with the cold weather coming soon. Also patterns for coats ect.

Oops Pigs Ears! I remember one morning giving my 3 greys a pigs ear each before i went out, luckly my son was in and heard the madness downstairs and found that one of them must of nicked anothers ear.....blood, blood and more blood. It was only a nip on the nose, but i've learned my lesson=always supervise when eating treats or otherwise!

Thanks Ruth, I will pop up for one over the weekend if thats ok. Its worth a try to prevent the bleeding. The wound on her backside has healed really nicely - almost gone now! She had a new lease of life again lately, charging around, woofing, playing & madly wagging her tail. She is so nosey too - gets her head in the dishwasher & shopping bags!! And how she loves all the attention - she has started nudging us to keep fussing if we stop! She really is very funny 😀
