I feel so bad 4 this girl. When she was brought back she wouldn't get out the car, when we got her out she tried to get back in. Then she didn't want to go into the kennels, she new what was happening again & she doesn't deserve it & it isn't her fault. She wouldn't eat & hid in the corner of her kennel. Please is there someone who can give her a forever home, she's been through so much & she's not even 3. Good luck berry. X

Thank you, BrookelodgeBaby, for your good wishes, and I feel very lucky to have found such a special boy! I will work hard to ensure that he and his new sister have as good a life as I can possibly manage. It may be different from what has gone before but I am sure that he will remember you with great affection. I hope that all goes well with your forthcoming relocation.

Thanks, marbury, for your good wishes for Brook, which I am pleased to reciprocate for Joker. Brook has not shown signs of stress or unhappiness with us, but was quite reserved during his first few days here, whereas it sounds as though Joker just "moved in" and felt completely at home from the beginning, so a big "well done" to you!

just like Ruth i find it heartbreaking to see these lovely hounds returned as if they are just some thing that can be dumped at will...i have had various problems with two of my boys and it has been hard work at times but never ever did it enter my mind to send them back, it takes some patience and training and we do tell people that it's not going to be all plain sailing, at least i do when i do my home visits but it seems that some people just don't want to take advice and rather give up. Berry is gorgeous and she will find a home soon and keep fingers crossed its for keeps this time. xxxx

Hi Auntiedawn I met your mum and Darcy at the Summer Party at the kennels in June. She's a lovely lady and I wish her a very speedy recovery. She clearly loves Darcy to bits as well so she has a really good incentive for her recuperation. Best wishes from Linda & Lola (Lass)

Hi Ruth, it's certainly been tough for you all at Daybreaks this week, so sad to see so many dogs returned. I personally feel so lucky to have been able to give one of these beautiful dogs a home. Berry is a lovely dog and I am sure it won't be long until she finds the right home. Kind regards Kate and Twiggy xx

I cannot believe we have yet another returnee. Poor Berry has been returned for the second time. I find it so upsetting that people do not want the advice we can offer to help overcome problems. It saddens me desperately that these beautiful dogs, that should be a part of someones family, can be so easily disposed of.

Hi Ruth and everyone just an update on Darcy (Southlodge Ruby) Mum and Darcy have been doing really well and you couldnt ask for a better grey. However on the 21st July this year mum left Darcy for the afternoon to go on a trip with the womens fellowship group to Whitlenge Gardens at Hartlebury. Mum was involved in a major car accident that afternoon, which meant she did not return to Darcy, It was coinsidental that myself, my husband and our daughter Charlotte was in the area as Charlotte needed the toilet. We went to mums it was about 5.45pm to find Darcy their waiting for tea!!!! I thought mum was running late, so we fed Darcy and let her into the garden. I was just writing mum a note to let her know ,as i knew she would be freting over Darcy when the call came through that mum had been in a car accident and had been taken to Worcester Royal Hosiptal. Mum was ok but had a broken pelvis and sterman and recovery would be 8-12 weeks. Darcy is now staying and Auntie Dawns hotel!! mum spent 2 weeks at hospital and 4 weeks at Gilbert Court in Bromsgrove, Mum returned home on Wednesday this Week (1st Sept) after 6 weeks. Darcy is still with me as mum needs to find her sea legs before having Darcy back. Darcy shares Auntie Dawns Hotel with 13 Rabbits!! This has been a trial but now goes in garden without thinking ahh Rabbit Breakfast, Dinner and Tea!!! Darcy has also been on Holiday camping in Brean and was a compelte Star , loved the sand and sea and had a good run off the lead round the dog exercise field. (had a few treats at hand incase she didnt come back!! but she did!!) When mum has her back she may need some help with exercising Darcy so any volunteers are welcome!!! All for now will keep you all posted love Darcy and Auntie Dawn xx
