We have Cleo who is the half sister of Bugs, and if Fergie has the same temperant of Cleo someone will be really lucky to give her a home. My wife is measuring up to see if we can fit in another basket!! She looks a loving special dog, we will come up and say hello to you at the weekend!

Well if he likes us, he will be living with 2 other greys and 9 cats. We had Tiptop in Nov and he liked to chase my cats, but with water sprays and words ('leave it!' is used a lot in our house) he is now muzzle free in the day but at night he is still muzzled. Tilly my other grey is muzzle free 24/7 now. We've only had her 9 months - I will give any dog a chance and trainning is the key - not just a few weeks - you can't tell what the dog is going in that short space of time - we give months and it pays off BIG TIME!

When we brought Sadie home, we seriously thought a mistake had been made and she hadn't been cat tested after all! She was whining and barking at the cats and trying to get to them. As it turns out, she was just so excited at the prospect of new friends that she just couldn't contain herself! Once she'd calmed down, and Poppy cat showed her a paw full of sharp claws (and with the help of a water squirter) they are now best friends and they all curl up together - we're so glad we persevered! What we did (and still do) is to constantly reinforce the idea that the cats are higher up in the hierarchy than the dogs are - they get fed first etc. Our greys wouldn't dare touch the cats now even if they wanted too! Be a good boy Peter and good luck Kate! Em x

Oh no, such awful news. I hope Guinness's family are bearing up, at least they can reassure themselves that they gave Guinness a short but wonderful retirement. And well done Guinness for showing the world how greys can live with small furries! God bless x

Hi Bullett What can one say about a lovely lady, she came to D/breaks on blood day & gained a ball without donating, she has come on leap's & bounds (leads is the word, when you get the lead for walkies) har leg's may be old & her dew claw a problem but she still has exceptonal leaping ability & so gentle. Please do not give up on the older g/hounds, they will repay you. Beryl came for our final h/check a few day's ago & got a kissSSSS. ( squeak is stil in ball at present) Sylv

Ralph looks lovely, he looks on the picture like he has some bald patches. I just want to say that when we had our James, his back legs were completely bald and I thought he would always be like that but after a few months his hair started to grow back and now his hair is a lot longer. I think Evening Primrose Oil did the trick along with being a healthy eater. I hope Ralph finds a home soon and in no time he will look a lot better. Alison, Richard, Rose and James

  • Guinness (Mal)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

I have just received an email from Guinness' owners. Unfortunately they lost Guinness to bone caner in March. I am heartbroken - he was one of my favourites, sharing my birthday too! He appeared in an article in Your Dog magazine recently defending the myth that greyhounds can't live with cats. He was a grey with a fantastic temperament and I am sure he is running free across the rainbows xxxxx
