If I had a £1 for every enquiry for Sky - I could retire! (ok slight exaggeration but she is very very popular) She is arriving late tomorrow afternoon along with seven gorgeous black beauties so we are booking viewings for all the new arrivals from Wednesday onwards.

Daybreaks Diary!

They said it would be warmer today.....they lied! The sand run was booked out all day, if you would like to come and use it please give us a call to book. It is proving to be very popular indeed. Gorgeous little Bea went off to her new home, thanks so much to Liz_Beth for fostering her after her return, I think she had got a little bit of an attachment to her, but is very happy she has a new home. New boy Sam didn't waste any time, he went out on foster. Ice had a visit from his new owner this afternoon, he is going home tomorrow, lucky boy. Dizzy is also leaving the building tomorrow! Sadly Peaky was returned today, I felt so very upset for his family, they were so very distraught having to bring him back. If you think you could offer Peaky a home please give the kennels a call, it is felt he may be suited to a home with older children. Thanks to Dave for coming in today, a much welcomed return after a few days rest. There were only the two of us, so was very much appreciated. Thanks too to Liz_Beth for doing afternoon walks. Our new residents should arrive on Tuesday, so watch this space, they all sound lovely. Ok, as always stay safe and well, take care. Jo X

Finn (Trebles)

So it is a year since Finn came to live with us. Very sadly we lost Amber, but we gained Finn - and what a character he is. He was tricky to settle but what he's taught us is the rewards of perseverance. Amber helped him adjust - and while we wish so much she was still here - the fact that he has done so well is a tribute to her. Finn is happy, bouncy, partial to pigs ears, balls, squirrels (nearly caught one in the garden - he's damn quick!) loves his thunder shirt and likes to be with us as much as possible. He was enjoying Julie's training sessions on a Saturday morning before lockdown and we very much hope that they resume soon - while he may not be best in class, he enjoys the social side, who says dogs mirror their owners!

We found gently winding Florence’s tail round 4 times worked best, while telling her not to wake us up it 8am! A small snack before bed is also helps. Xx

Sadly Peaky has been returned today. His owners are very distraught at returning him, he may be suited to a home with older children and where there is someone at home most of the time.

Gold had a visit from his previous owners this morning to say good luck and goodbye. As they left I threw a ball for him to distract him from them leaving and he ran into the kitchen and caught his dew claw again! Blood dripping so I had no option but to pull the fractured claw off. He was so brave! His new mum and dad arrived shortly after and he is already gone! Good luck fella xxxx
