Daybreaks Diary!

Ruth delivered the two kidnapped dogs back to the kennels this morning!! She couldn't resist taking them both home last night. Both Batty Betty and Scotty enjoyed wandering around. They had a lovely morning walk with our Wednesday walkers, thanks so much to them. Scotty had his homing this afternoon, he has a new name...Jet and a lovely brother Flash. Wishing his family every happiness. We have some new arrivals tomorrow and on Friday, can't wait to meet them, there are viewings booked already! It is fantastic that our residents are being homed so quickly. We are still operating an appointment system, so please give us a call if you need to collect food or come and view any of our inmates. As always, stay safe and well. X

Today is my 1st Gotcha day! Wow it’s been a year already! I’m so glad I chose my hoomans. I had a greyt foster home over Christmas 2019 which helped me get my forever home! Im thankful to them and especially Daybreaks for all the work they did to get me here. Apparently I’m spoiled rotten haha! Well I guess squeaky balls have taken over the house. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my hoomans. Hooman: Thanks Russ for making a horrible year better with your fuss demands, washing up bowl saga and not forgetting stealing all mummy’s Christmas presents. Christmas time in 2019 was hard after losing Barney. We still think about him now but Thanks Russ for giving us a good Christmas this year when we couldn’t do our original plans. Also thank you for letting us stay at the caravan with you Russ. We know it’s yours. We wouldn’t have it without you! Lastly I can’t wait to see what this year brings with you! Happy Gotcha day and let’s hope there is many more to come!

Ruth took the kennels home with her this afternoon! As there was only Betty and Scotty she decided to take them both home for the night. :)) When Betty arrived her trainer told us she is a maniac! In a nice way. :)) She loved racing around the kennels and generally having fun! Sure She will love staying at Ruth and Andy's house. Xxx

Our Kevin went off to his new home today. He had spent the morning wandering around the kennels with Scotty and generally poking his nose into anything and everything! He has a new little friend, Dizzy the Jack Russell. It was with mixed emotions I watched him leave...with all that is going on at the moment he has been a great source of comfort over the last few days, he is a big "puppy" who not only loves being cuddled but likes to give cuddles too. :)) Wishing him a really happy new life. Lots of love to him. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

We had two residents left at the kennels today...Kevin and Scotty. Richard took Kevin off to the vets for his neutering operation first thing this morning. Shirley and I took Scotty out for a walk with my Skip and Lyra and we were joined by Sue and her four lovely Greyhounds, so he wasn't short of company! 🙂 This afternoon we let him wander around the kennels. He enjoyed himself! Xxx I picked Kevin up after his op this afternoon. He was very quiet and wanted lots of cuddles. Bless him. Xxx We have two new arrivals tomorrow and more later in the week. 🙂 A little warmer today which was nice! :))) Xxx

Wow! On Saturday 2nd there were 7 dogs for rehoming. By Saturday 10th they were all reserved or rehomed. What fantastic work Daybreaks does and thank you very much to everyone who adopts these fantastic houndies.
