Hi Lucy, thanks hun....am feeling better after having a lovely chat with the Manager at the sheltered accommodation where Alan lives. I think Kate had mentioned to him where Eoghan was going & although he is missing him dreadfully he is delighted he is with family. We spoke about possibly visiting him next year when we are allowed to mix. Emma said all of the residents would love to see Eoghan again and meet all the boys. It might be nice although I would totally understand if Alan would feel too upset and of course I have to think about Eoghan. They were very close which may be why Eoghan is still crying at times, not eating fully and scared of going out. However, he is very friendly and keeps coming for reassuring cuddles and the boys wont leave him at all so are not even coming upstairs to me!! Oh the bliss of having a bed to myself! I am hoping he might feel better after his dental next week. At least he is eating all his treats so that is a positive. Funtime in the sand run would be good. Hopefully next April/May when the weather is warmer and restrictions are lifted. I am sure the boys would love Jet. He is such a sweet boy. Am delighted he is gentle with Mia. They seem to know don't they when they have to be. My heart goes out to Alan. It reminds me that one day unless one is like Prince Philip, or my Dad, that we all get to a point where life winds down more quickly than we would wish. My Mum always said that the ageing process was about loss. It certainly was in her case. It terrifies me which is probably why I keep pushing myself to keep busy whether its work or having multiple boys!!! Maybe I will be more like my Dad. He was 88 today, looks 10 years younger, says he feels no different to when he was 58 and is just a bundle of energy!! Must be the joys of having a partner 26 years younger. Look after yourself hun. Hope you all enjoy the festive season whatever you do. Xxx

BREAKING NEWS " JESS LOVES BIEBER" .. I was working nights last night as someone at work was sick and I've just woken with a bad neck, a headache , Jess in my face and teethmarks on my head , so I started singing Justin Bieber songs to Jess and she loved it which was evident by the fact she went into the roach position and I blew raspberries on her belly so its totally official Jess Likes Justin Bieber , which is good , because I do too.. The world in which my girls are growing up in is totally screwed up and mad , so I might as well fit in as if I didn't already I love you Jess you are the most affectionate girl in the world and the most clingy and affectionate dog I've ever had in my life and now I know you like Justin my world is complete xx

It started as a busy day. I took Lindy to be speyed this morning, nail cutting, coat sales, sand run user's and all before 11.00 am! Nav came in to help out, he and Jamie homed Lucy a few weeks ago, she is doing very well. To start with there was not an awful lot to do as there were only two kennels to clean. Nav took some fab photos of Herc and Laddie (the profile picture of Laddie is courtesy of Nav, thanks very much). If either of them are still here after the weekend he is going to send some of the photos of them to us. The very lovely Laddie arrived a lot earlier than expected, thanks to Chris and Nav for bathing and health checking on arrival. He and Herc enjoyed a nice walk before dinner. We had some very generous donations given over the phone and some lovely goodies for the hounds and h oomans too. There are viewings booked for tomorrow and Sunday, fingers crossed that the two hounds in kennels will find their forever homes in time for Christmas. As always, stay and well. X

It was so good to have dogs back in the kennels today. Declan and I both agreed it was great to be greeted by happy barks and waggy tails! :)) Socks our lovely black and white cat is doing well but not so keen on taking antibiotics! Tried to tell her they will make her feel better but I don't think she thought so! Richard and I dropped a big of food off to a family who are unfortunately having to self isolate due to a family member having Covid19. They were down to their last cup of Burns....Do hope they will all be well soon. Xx Many thanks to Alan and Declan for going on a trip to the warehouse for us this afternoon. :)) We still have a few calendars and Christmas cards left at the kennels, why not treat yourself to a Calendar and see a beautiful Greyhound or two for every month of next year. Razzle is Mr December for this year, he looks very handsome!! Xxx It was good to have Ruth back at the kennels today. 🙂 xx So very pleased she is starting to feel better. Xxx

Hercules is such a very lovely lad. His litter sister Lottie found her forever home today. Xxx Hercules retired due to having a broken hock. It has healed very well and he will just need his new family to build up his strengh on that leg. He is a very cuddly boy just waiting for someone to give him lots of love. :)) He was cat tested this morning....unfortunately he isn't cat friendly. Xxx
