Lee, it sounds like you had a wonderful time in the park with Elizabeth. That was some walk, but you certainly seem to have really enjoyed being out and about and starting to learn all about the big wide world- well done. x

Woody is gorgeous. I took his food into him in his feeding kennel this morning and he was a little wary at first but soon approached me. I walked him on both morning and afternoon walks. He stood beautifully for me to lead him up and walked really well on a loose lead. No pulling at all. After the afternoon walk I sat in his kennel for a while. He was so settled I nearly fell asleep. He wouldn't take treats directly off me but enjoyed them from the bed. Please someone give him a chance and give him his forever sofa. Good boy Woody. x

Daybreaks Diary!

Lots of sand run bookings today, the final one of the day resulted in some very exciting news. The lovely owners of Spirit (Dave) who homed him a week ago decided that they wanted a sister for him, so lovely cheeky girl Star who arrived this morning found herself reserved!! At this rate as I mentioned before we will need a turnstile fitted so as they come in they go back out!! Thanks to Liz_Beth for taking Lee out today, he was such a good boy but can be a little unsettled in the kennels, once in a home they become happy, settled, loving hounds. Thanks also to Lynne, Simon and Dave for all their help today, as always very much appreciated. We left tonight with the inmates with full tummies, warm fleecy coats and heaters on. Fingers crossed that Lee and Woody will not have to wait too long for their forever homes, they are both very handsome hounds. Another new arrival is due in tomorrow, watch this space. As always please all stay safe and well. Jo x

Handsome Lee came for a lovely long walk with me today. I was asked to wear him out and I did my very best!! We walked for 2.5 hours and he loved every minute of it. He was quite strong to start with, but calmed down virtually as soon as we left the kennels. He was alert thoughtful walk, but he was fine with all the dogs we met. He was a great walking companion and here's hoping that he doesn't have to wait long for his forever home xx

Ice had a very muddy walk with Susie this afternoon to Elmdon Park. He met lots of other dogs, adults and children and didn’t see bothered by anything or anyone. He’s a big strong boy and an absolute joy. He will have so many new adventures to look forward to, it’s very exciting ????

Daybreaks Diary!

A very busy day at the kennels! A lovely family came to visit this morning and fell for Bill...what a great boy he is, such a lovely face. Xxx Ice met Eric and Susie, they all had a great time in the sand run together. :)) It was so lovely to see Eric and Susie again. Xx We had lots of visitors for the sand run including Misty, who was recently crowned Supreme Champion in the on line dog show. She was very beautiful and a worthy winner of the title! Xxx Lee and Woody are still looking for their forever homes, quite different in character, Lee is very out going and bouncy. Woody is very shy at the moment, he has the most beautiful eyes theat melt your heart! Xxx We are expecting another new arrival tomorrow.... Xxx

Emma's family called today to say they have had to say goodbye to her. She was such a wonderful girl and during her stay at Daybreaks she had quite a fan club! Thank you to her family for giving her a fabulous, happy home. I know how much they adored her. Xx Thinking of you all, God Bless sweet Emma. Xxx
