Despite the yucky weather we had a great day! Both Penny and Kiara have been reserved! :)) Rosie very kindly brought the girls in to meet their prospective new families. Collecting Penny from Ruth who is still not feeling great. Hopefully seeing the girls reserved will have cheered her up! :))) Penny again enjoyed being at the kennels...she really does like Rich Tea biscuits! :)) Kiara was a little nervous but so much better than when she first arrived at the kennels. Being with Rosie, Paul and their three lovely Greyhounds has helped her tremendously. :)) Rosie and I were Ruth's Christmas Elves this afternoon, trying to pack up Calendars, treats etc to send out as she isn't well. So nice to see so many people have treated themselves to a lovely Greyhound Calendar. 🙂 Many thanks as ever to Shirley, Richard and Declan for their help and to Alan who brought in marshmallows and chocolate brownies! His little girl Belle and Penny got on great together and made excellent partners in crime when it came to treat raiding! Sending lots of love and Get Well wishes to Ruth tonight. Xxx Xxx

Well....today....summed up was very cold and very quiet. A couple of sand run visitors, food collection, donation of blanket and doggy Santa chocolates and doggy christmas stocking. Thanks to Denise for coming in to feed the cats and chickens. Chris and greyhound Molly came in this afternoon. The calendars are proving very popular, so get your orders in asap! Please remember even though lockdown has been lifted that you still need to book an appointment to visit the kennels. The online auction finishes tonight at 10pm, winning bidders should be notified tomorrow, hope you all got what you wanted. As always...stay safe and well. X

Happy 3rd Gotcha day Nifty! We cannot believe it's been 3 years since we bought Nifty home. He's seen a lot of changes & just adapts to everything. He is so gentle & polite towards Cilla & Flo (unless treats are involved & then hes first in line). We cannot thank Kate enough for that first introduction to Nifty & Ruth for allowing us to take him home. Nifty loves coming back to Daybreaks as he is quite popular with everyone & he loves the fuss he gets. Xxx

Hi Jetlucy, I'm disappointed Santa can't come to the kennels too! My three will just have to send their Christmas lists in the post this year! I think the photoshoots are advertised on Facebook....But when there is another one we will pop it on the Daybreaks Diary page. Xxx

Penny is at Ruth and Andys tomight. Ruth is feeling a little better and Andy very kindly collected Penny this evening. 🙂 She had a nice day at the kennels and enjoyed the company of Skip and Lyra. Penny loves her food and will eat anything you give her! She had a great time in the sand run with Shirley and loved playing with toys. She joined in with all of our activities this afternoon 🙂 She "supervised" the cats while Shirley and I were sorting the dog coats. She then made sure the Rich Tea biscuits were up to scratch by sampling a few! She is a really special girl. :)) Thank you for the very kind offers of a foster home for Penny. 🙂 Excitingly she has someone coming to meet her on Thursday! Xxx

Penny has come back from foster today. She was going to stay with Ruth and Andy for a few days but sadly Ruth isn't too well and not able to take her. If there is anyone able to look after Penny for a while so she doesn't have to stay at the kennels on her own please call us on 0121 782 7702. Many thanks Xxx
