Sam’s doing well. Apart from every morning when he seems to have forgotten that he was ok with me fussing him the day before, he’s not moving away as much. I’ve found that if I sidle up to him sideways rather than walking towards him or putting my hand out, he just stands and waits for the fussing. Not that I look daft doing that!! He’s learning manners very quickly too - moving away from our food if we say no. And there was slight progress in him getting into the car today as he jumped his back legs in by himself once I’d lifted his front legs in. Made it much easier for me! He is a gorgeous boy and I can’t recommend him highly enough :))

Daybreaks Diary!

Don't know about a whirlwind going through the kennels today, it was more like a tornado! I was expecting a busy day as Kate sent Ruth and I a picture of today's diary page, but it surpassed my expectations. Ruth had corn removals, nail cutting, paw checking and we had viewings too. Two legged Rosie brought four legged Rosie back this morning and after a viewing she was reserved...yay! She will, if all goes well have two greyhound companions as well as a collie and a German shepherd!! Billy also was viewed and reserved, as was Mae. Three in one day, not too bad I would have to say. Sam came for a visit, it was thought he would benefit from being in the office where he would see lots of new faces, he was such a good boy and is getting braver all the time, bless him, he is so lovely (as they all are). The sand run was popular too, we had a new family come to use it and they were so very impressed, even their little nervous dog had no problem with greeting Jayne and myself when he came out. As always thanks to everyone for their help today. In true Angie style I'm going to hit the wine, she always says it so nicely in her posts, but I'm too tired to think anymore, oh bum, I've still got to do dinner!!! Take care all. X

Well what can I say... he's ours!! Lol! We met this lovely lad today and me and Michelle were both smitten. So friendly, came in for kisses and cuddles, he's got such a lovely temperament too. We can't wait to get this lad to his foreverhome real soon. Thanks again to the kind staff who were there and answered all our questions. See you soon Mae (that'll change!!) ????

Melody has had a brilliant birthday today! She gets to go to the doggy shop tomorrow and get herself a new cuddly which she loves and nice big bone! She has brought so much joy to your lives in the two weeks we have had her. She loves sleeping at the bottom of my feet on the bed. She has her spot on the sofa and loves playing with the two girls. Sometimes she tires them out and vice versa. She has so much energy but also loves her sleep xx

Rosie spent the day sitting in the kitchen run watching the world go by. She was really happy just being in the middle of everything. 🙂 Thank you so much to everyone who called us to express an interest in either fostering her or offering her a forever home. Our lovely Rosie took Rosie home tonight so she will have lots of Greyhound company! She has a family coming to meet her at the kennels tomorrow..... :)))))
