We are all really sad today as SFF Coco crossed the rainbow bridge last night. He became ill in June but had bounced back until last Friday when mom had to increase his meds. On Monday he went to the vets and stayed for 2 nights. I am trying to cheer mom and TC up. Lubs to all. Florence xxx

Before I went home tonight I let all our residents out into the small runs for one more wee. Linford had sadly needed to go before I could let him out..but it didn't take long to clean out his room. :)) I went into the run say hello to Sam; he amazed my by following me around the run, so I walked a bit faster until eventually he was chasing me, tail wagging. it was great! :)) I agree with Liz, the person who gets to take Sam home will have a very special lad. :)) Xxx

Billy arrived at Daybreaks this afternoon. He is a very happy lad :)) His ears tend to do their own thing...when I checked on him before leaving tonight they had folded in on each other, he looked like he had a bow on his head! :))

Sam has come on a lot since I last saw him. When you go and speak to him, he clearly wants to be your friend, but doesn't have quite enough confidence just yet. I'm sure he is going to make a brilliant companion for whoever takes him home. I can fully imagine that once he gets to know you, he will be totally devoted to you and be the best dog ever xx

I have Sams big half sister Lottie and she too was a little anxious to start with but now you would not guess this on the fund raiser days she now will happily go up to strangers and do the famous greyhound lean. In the right environment I am sure Sam will thrive and gain his confidence and some luck person will have a fabulous grey.

Lola

I last saw Lola a week ago and she looked stunning. All that's left of the wound is a small red patch the size of a 2p coin. Its hard to imagine how bad the injuries were. Lola is still a very bouncy happy girl, she thinks she's been fixed for some time and wants to have a run. Fortunately she is still very friendly and continues to improve towards other dogs even after suffering such a bad attack. I will be seeing her next week, I get searched by a pointy nose whenever I visit as she knows I come with a treat in my pocket. She is much loved by all especially her owner who thinks the world of her xx
