Mike had an adventure today as I had the privilege to take him to Sutton Park for an nice long walk. He travelled really well both going and coming back. In fact on the return journey I had to stop to check if he was ok as I did not see or hear him. Turned out he was lying on his side relaxing, good my panic over 🙂 As it was Mike's first time out and about in the big world it was initially a little stressful with all these new impressions to take in. I was impressed with how quick he is taking things on board. He was initially pulling but I corrected this a couple of times and he soon realised what I needed from him. We even had the lead in a relaxed smile shape, well done Mike. Mike was not fused about children or ducks. He very much enjoyed the smell of vegetation. Other dog breeds he finds interesting but is also a bit unsure, specially small dogs they are unusual to him. With some more socialisation I am sure he be great. It needs time and some patience as is with all dogs. Mike I am really proud of your achievement today. You have a really nice manner about you, very attentive and alert and quick on the uptake. Whilst I would love to walk you more, I prefer it that you to find your forever home soon.

Daybreaks Diary!

Miserable weather today, but the day was brightened up with the lovely Tango being reserved :)) We had a gorgeous new arrival by the name of Deluxe!! He is a very happy friendly lad. Big thanks for everyone's help today. One of our resident cats Socks had another trip to the vet today, her water infection has not completely gone, so more medication. The vet said she was very good and enjoyed her treats. Hopefully this will sort the problem. Thanks for the donations of bedding and towels, and to Simon who came in to do some painting and other jobs, my Arry closely supervised the painting of the door in the top kennel run, such a good boy, don't know why he gets called Asbo (Arry not Simon)! Take care all, stay safe. X
