Happy 10th birthday to my Looney toon Max (or Gummers since having all of his teeth out last year). Mad, fruit loop of a dog who definitely does not act his age! So far today we have had mad spinning zoomies on the living room rug followed by how many teddies and toys can I throw around the room? Currently relaxing under the stairs for a few minutes. For all you hounds out there, tonight's dinner will be sausage casserole with mashed potatoes. Max says we are all hoping you are staying safe and well. See you all soon. X

Today is my gorgeous Sam's first official Gotcha Day. For those of you who don't know the story I walked Sam at the kennels one Friday just over a year ago. We arranged to take a kennel dog on a walk on the Sunday. I said to Dave, who was getting the resident ready for us, that I didn't mind who we took. He had Sam ready for us. He had only just turned 2 and had been returned after a few days of adoption because of separation anxiety. Sam was so gorgeous that I agreed to foster him for 2 days to see how he got on with there being other dogs around - we had Skip and also had Bert at that time (Lost him 3 weeks later at 13 1/4). I think I'd already fallen for him before I got home but we didn't know how we'd manage with 3. The next day or so I extended the fostering to the end of the week but rang Ruth on the Wednesday to say I'd failed and wanted to adopt him. The papers were signed on Friday 3rd May and I absolutely adore him and have never looked back. I'm very sad that he never got to come on a camping trip with Bert (we'd just bought a caravan and were all ready to go but Bert took a turn for the worse and we lost him in the early hours our first caravan trip was planned). Every single day Sam and Skip make us laugh and I'm so thankful to everyone at Daybreaks who helped me fail at fostering. Sam and Skip have had their breakfast of sardines in tomato sauce and we're off to the sand run later. Lynne x

Absolutely heartbeaking phone call yesterday morning to hear that Bran went to the Bridge on Friday. My love goes to his wonderful family who gave him a wonderful life. Run free fella... I’m so so sad xxxx

I need your help please...... Had a VERY busy day at Daybreaks yesterday with Andy Price as my assistant ???? with corn removals, many very long nails being clipped, a stitch removal, a poorly foot, lump on neck and lots of food sold, it was so great to be there...... However I got talking to my first visitors and I now have a fabulous day on Tuesday planned... totally socially distanced of course and PPE available - we are going to attack a few jobs desperate to be done. So this is where I am in need of wall filler, shelving materials, paint.... white indoor and outdoor and pretty please if anyone has some cornflower blue wood paint it would be desperately appreciated. I also need someone who understands electrics as the electric gate has ‘died’. Please call me on 01217827702 if you can help x
