Ross (Kristoff)

I was invited to go and visit Ross and Cain. I paid them a visit yesterday, Ross has settled amazingly well, it is as if he has always been with Vince and Rachel. He and Cain are great together, Ross has decided to be a man's dog and lies next to Vine, whilst Cain has turned into a bit of a mommy's boy. So lovely to see everyone so happy. I am sure Charity is looking down and watching over them saying 'my job is done'. X

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Friday is normally Angies day to post the daily diary, unfortunately she was unable to join us today, so the update will be done by me. Hope all is well Angie. X It was lovely to have Dave and Maisie back, Dave had been poorly but couldn't wait to come back. It was another chilly day but was quite bright, sunny and dry in contrast to yesterday's horrible weather. Thanks to everyone who came in with donations of bedding and to buy food. Britney had a visit from the family who have reserved her, she met their whippet and was great with them. Ruth dropped Mom a and Tig off whilst she went to have her scan, fingers crossed she said it was looking good so all being well she will be ok for her op next week. Although we were three people short we had enough people to do the cleaning, feeding and walking. This meant I was able to do some admin stuff that I kept having to put off. Here's hoping for some more red and green signs over the weekend. My feet are still not warm so I think another medicinal glass of wine or two is called for!!

This gorgeous girl is such a star, she has been my rock while Ruby has been so poorly but thank fully Ruby is well on the mend now but this morning i had a very nasty fall up the kitchen step and although at first it frightened Jess she soon realised i needed help and ran upstairs crying and jumped straight on top of her dad to let him know i was in trouble, i have now recovered although have some really nice bruises and aches and pains, Jess is my angel in disguise and i love her to bits, greyhounds really are clever and such tender loving dogs xx

I had the pleasure of taking Boots out for a walk today. What a super lad he is! Liz who takes a lot of our residents to the park will love him! He walks great on the lead at a brisk pace. :)) He seems to really enjoy going for a walk. He is a very handsome boy and so small! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

When I saw the weather forecast for today I thought it would be a quiet day at the kennels....How wrong could I be! By the end of the day we had three of our residents RESERVED! :)) So happy for Britney, Scruff and Princess. Xxx It was very wet but the rain did ease off enough for us to go on short walks. I had the pleasure of taking Boots for a walk...when I finally found a coat to fit him! He is so small for a boy and only needed a 26" winter coat. :)) He was a pleasure to walk. :)) Many thanks to Alan, Richard and Declan for going to the warehouse for us. Due to the weather the traffic was not so good and it took them a while to get back to the kennels, a hot drink and chocolate donut (thanks Alan!) soon revived them. :)) Hoping that Friday will be a good day, we need homes for our boys too! Xxx

So happy to see this cute girl reserved. Have been looking daily after we saw her a couple of weeks ago, she was so sweet! Had thought she would make a good friend for Robbie but it just seemed a bit too soon for him. Good luck in your new home Scruff 🙂 xxx
