Danny came with me to Sheldon Country Park today. He still needs help getting in the car but travels really well once in there safely. He met lots of dogs (Westie, Spaniel, Staffie, Labrador) politely. He was actually nose to nose with them with no issues. His only slight wobble was with a dog neither of us saw coming; it made me jump as well though! He is a lovely boy, who adapted his pace for a more gentle walk today. Here's hoping he has his own sofa for Christmas x

Hello Everyone. There has been an incident with Barney which is not looking good at the moment. This happened Friday evening and he completely stopped walking on Saturday morning. He has been to the vets and he has been referred to Willow’s Vet. Vet currently thinks he has nerve damage as he has been reacting to us touching or pinching his back legs. We are on our way to Willow’s now and will keep you all updated. Please keep Barney in your prayers. Thanks Barney’s Family.

I am just so very sad to read this, I had a bit of a soft spot for this gorgeous boy, I am so so sorry for your loss, he was taken way too soon, but at least you were all together for the last year. Rummy sweetheart, run fast and free, a special star shining bright in the sky. Much love to you xxxx

It's always sad to hear news of the loss of a much loved pet, but when they are so young it somehow seems even harder. I remember Rummy a lovely, friendly boy and send thanks to his family for giving him love for the last year of his life. Xxxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

We have received a very sad email from Rummy's family. They have said they are happy for us to add it to his page. "Rummy was the light of our life for the past 12 months and we could not have dreamed up a better boy. Unfortunately a couple of days ago he was diagnosed with acute leukaemia and was gone within 24 hours. I just wanted to say thank you for helping us find such a fantastic companion and couch hog and pass along the bad news. We will definitely continue to home Greyhounds in the future thanks to our experience with Rummy and we are so happy we could give him an amazing final year of his life." Thinking of his family and sending lots of love. God Bless your beautiful boy. Taken far too soon. Xxx

    I’m Homed

It was great to see Nifty, Cilla, Tanya and Mark this morning and wonderful for Floss to find herself reserved! :))) Sweet little Shelly went off yo her new home. Xxx Many apologies to her new Mom and Dad for not adding their homing photo to the website. Unfortunately the internet went down... :)) I am rubbish with computers! Other than turn it off and turn it on again, didn't know what else to do!! Will add the photo as soon as possible. Xx Most of the walks were dry except for the mad five minute hailstorm! Diane had kindly taken Skip out for a walk, he was not impressed to come back very wet! Sorry Skippy (and Diane! ) Xxx Many thanks to Jean and Gus for all the lovely treats and food for the Daybreaks residents. So very kind of you. Xxx It was great to see Lorraine and all her dogs today. Her lovely Norah has been very poorly but looked so good today. :)) Thanks so much to everyone for your help today. Xxx

Floss was quite taken with Nifty and Cilla when she met them today. :)) Nifty wasn't very impressed when she kissed him and gave his ear a lick...sure he will get used to the extra attention! Cilla will be fine as long she is in charge. :))) Xxx
