    I’m Homed

Lou went off to the vets first thing this morning for her neutering operation. She travelled well in the car and enjoyed a short walk before we went into the vets. I collected her this afternoon, she has had four teeth removed, so nice soft food for the next few days. Alan carried out Scruff's home visit today. Scruff went along with him so she could check it out for herself! Many thanks to Alan for carrying out the home visit for us. Alan says Scruff was very impressed with her soon to be new home. 🙂 xx Barney's family visited the kennels today. It was very sad, they had a cuddle with some of our residents. Xxx It was nice not to see any rain today! :)) Xxx

Shelly has settled in really well, had a look around the garden when we got home, had a sniff round the house and was really good when we introduced her to our cat. She has enjoyed her walks and is always looking for food, just like they all do! All great so far, she is so sweet, we love her.

    I’m Homed

Drew came along with us today to the Sheldon Walk. He was excited to get out and jumped straight in the car. There were no problems at all between Drew and Murphy along the way, even with Drew moving around looking out of all the windows. He really enjoyed his walk (so much so that when we got back to the kennel he jumped back into the car as if he wanted to go again)and is interested in all the new things that he got to see. He was quite excitable about all the other dogs he saw, especially those that came quite close but he isn't aggressive just excited. He just needs to get out more so these things are normal instead of all new and exciting. All in all we had quite a nice walk this morning, he is a large lad but does not pull on his lead like a large lad. As said in the previous comment please do not be put off by his size, he really is another gentle giant.

Thank you all for the messages it means a lot. Barney was shy and nervous when out meeting people and scared of bikes. In the house he was the boss and did what he liked and was really king of the castle. He gave us so much love and laughter and his crafty little ways of stealing everything that he was not supposed to touch. He slept with me every night till I was a sleep then went downstairs till I woke up. He was one true lovely friend who will be so sadly missed. Run free my boy and thank you.
