Lovely to see you briefly Lucy. Sorry we didnt have a proper chat....it was soooo busy and Melly was feeling a bit stressed with all the waiting so his legs were very wobbly and we went into the office for him to recuperate after seeing Santa who gave him many cuddles. Mia is growing!!! Such a good baby. You are obviously doing something right kiddo! Jet is so well behaved. Bless him....he is still looking great. Yes, Drew & Princess are lovely. I had lots of cuddles the other day with Drew who reminds me of Fergal. I hope you all have a lovely 1st Christmas with Mia and hopefully we will see you sometime next year. It will be the start of an interesting adventure for all of us as we take the fork in the road to independence. I am praying for not too many bumps in the road. Take care all. Xxx

We had a wonderful morning so thank you very much! Jet came back smelling and looking wonderful with shiny teeth and we can't wait to see our photo from lucy of jet and mia...think he preferred his sister there, santa wasn't as scary! You're all amazing for all the hardwork you do and every event we come to is so much fun! The kennel hounds as always looked comfy and cosy and so well looked after! All the hounds pull at my heart strings but drew and princess particularly caught my eye today. If we had the time and were in the market for another one of them would definetly have been coming! Xxx

We are sending a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along today to our festive morning. Santa was kept very busy as the queue of good hounds waiting for their presents stretched around the kennels at one point! Unfortunately it was this time that the heavens decided to open and there was a huge downpour drenching everyone & everything! Fortunately it didn't last too long, and we dashed round with towels afterwards to dry everyone off! Thank you all for braving the weather and sticking with it. It was very busy, and was lovely to see so many of our ex residents and their humans - great to catch up on all the news. Massive thanks to all the volunteers who helped out today by firstly getting the doggies fed & cleaned and then manning refreshments, merchandise and Santa queue later. We couldn't have done it without you. x It was brilliant that Ruth was able to make it in for a while. I know it really took it out of her but she was determined not to miss another party! I know you will join me in sending her very best wishes for her forthcoming operation and recovery. We miss you Ruth and are looking forward to having you back next year. I am delighted to announce that we have raised the incredible sum of £869.95 today - thank you everyone. As we head towards our new adventure next year as Daybreaks becomes an independent organisation, your support is very much appreciated indeed. You won't be surprised, but I am going to partake of a glass or two of wine this evening -well, it is Christmas!! Thank you again one and all. Angie xxx

The butler (dad) has been shouting at the thing in the corner which has sound and pictures, and the housekeeper (mam) has been walking around muttering. Therefore me and Sunny have formed party to compete with the muttering. Our doggyfesto is as follows. The hound WILL Party 1 Balls WILL be thrown (if required) 2 Boles WILL be full (at all times) 3 Beds WILL be soft and big 4 Walks WILL be taken (when required) 5 Baths WILL be optional subject to hound 6 Fuss WILL be given at all times If any hound can think more just let us know. Life membership requires tinned fish to be given to Daybreaks.

I met our lovely new arrivals Russ and Britney today. They are both gorgeous? :)) We had lots of help today which was great, Thank you. The very handsome Danny came with me for a walk to the park today. He loves his walks and is so happy to be out. He is quite strong initially but chills out after 10 minutes. He was very well behaved throughout the visit and came nose to nose with a variety of dogs, from big to small. He is a lovely hound , who will make a super companion. Fingers crossed that he gets his own sofa for Christmas x
