Well I have been here for a few weeks now and I am very happy. One of the walks we go on is round the quarry and I have an admirer called Boss he is a very handsom lurcher. I have one comment on the staff, with the cold weather I have been having a lie in before breakfast then going for a trot round the garden. Now Sunny and I have only two beds each and when I come back in my bed has not been moved into the day position. Do you think this is acceptable?

I know she has bagged herself a home already but I still need to sing her praises. I took her to Elmdon Park today. She travelled really well and bounced along happily in the park. She is very friendly as well as affectionate and wasn't even fazed when we walked past a Chihuahua in the park. She thoroughly deserves her forever home. Enjoy your retirement lovely lady x

As Jo mentioned in her post, I took this adorable boy on a lovely long walk today. He travelled well, although did need some help getting in. He was a pleasure to walk. He loves being out and he wants to go at quite a pace. Luckily for him, so do I. We walked for almost an 1.5 and he didn't slow down! He saw lots of dogs from big to small and was great with all of them. He came nose to nose with a couple and greeted them politely. I think he is ultimately more interested in being on the move. I'm told that he is quite noisy in the kennels but I didn't hear a peep out of him either on the walk or whilst travelling. He didn't even react to the small dog in the park who told him off just because we happened to be walking past. He will make a super companion for someone who enjoys a good walk. Good luck handsome boy x

Yay so pleased to see artie reserved, i was worried it might take a while being a 'middle aged lady' but thank goodness it hasn't and she can now have many years of a happy retirement ahead of her xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Really looking forward to the Fayre next Saturday. If you have yet to buy crackers or christmas cakes there will be several available for sale and the crackers have high end products so a change from the usual same year on year items that usually end up in the bin!!! With other items such as yankee candle gift sets, chocolates, festive muffins & mince pies and all at a very reasonable price whats not to like!!! In addition there will be a raffle with fab prizes. With all monies going to Daybreaks lets all save our monies to spend at the Fayre!!

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Lots of lovely volunteers today. Thanks all. The residents had morning and afternoon walks down the lane. Thanks to Liz_Beth who took Danny out for a couple of hours this morning, he was very well behaved and liked to walk at a brisk pace (fortunately so does Liz_Beth)! New girl Artie also had a trip to the park later with Liz. Shortly after she returned she found herself reserved, very, very quick work indeed, she is so sweet. Meena was also reserved this morning, a busy day for reservations. Tommy who was reserved yesterday had a visit from his new family who took him out on one of the morning walks, so very happy for him. Thanks for the donations of bedding. Little Rose came in for a pamper with Lorna, she is still a little timid but is slowly gaining in confidence. My favourite brindle lurcher Enzo also came in for a pamper, I must say both Rose and Enzo smelled beautiful when they left. It was very cold again, the dogs were all tucked up with their fleeces and heating on. It has been a bit of a whirlwind of a weekend for visitors, but that is how we like it. It will be nice to wind down next Saturday at our Countdown to Christmas evening, if you would like to join us we still have a few tickets left. You can either pop in to the kennels or order them over the phone. There will be all sorts of goodies and merchandise on offer, plus a bar, buffet and floorshow by our intrepid Daybreaks got Talent Crewe. Rumour has it we may have a special addition to the show....curious....then join us!!! Finally, hoping for another good week for red and green signs for our current residents. X

Oh my goodness! I am in love with Trebles....Xx He is a great lad. He is quite reserved at the moment but greets you with a waggy tail. He met Sara's Border Collie, Louis this morning and was great with him. This afternoon when there was so much going on with lots of visitors, he was content to snooze in his kennel laying on his back with legs in the air! :)) It's a good thing I have a full house! :)) Xxx
